So far, I love this phone! It gets GREAT reception, the speaker phone is just as good as using the phone normally. The call quality is great even in noisy enviornments...I work in a factory and my wife can actually hear me without me yelling into the phone, and what's better is that I can hear her, too! Wait a minute, that's not always a good thing! OOPS! Hopefully she won't read this! The camera is not as bad as some of these other reviews say, at least I'm happy with it. your opinion may vary. I do miss the QWERTY keyboard, but at least this phone works and no more butt dialing! All the AT&T listings in the address book are a pain, but you do learn to get used to working around them.

Motorola V365 - Cellular phone - GSM - folder (flip) Review

Motorola V365 - Cellular phone - GSM - folder (flip)

CNET gave this phone a less than stellar review, but they utterly missed the point. Not everyone wants a phone/computer/camera/e-mail retriever/Klingon translator/backhoe/satellite TV. Some of us just want a dependable phone with outstanding battery life, solid reception that doesn't drop calls and sounds good. This sturdy little unit does all that with aplomb, takes bearable pictures, has a very decent speakerphone, is bluetooth capable, and has PTT for those so inclined. I weathers abuse well and the battery life runs circles around every cell phone I've had previously. If you want a phone that does everything under the sun, but none of it very well, this is not the phone for you. If you're intent on a phone that is an outstanding phone, this unit should be on your list.

Built to last, the Motorola V365 is tough enough to withstand even the most rigorous lifestyle. Blurring the lines between business and media-centric phones, the V365 comes loaded with top communication and business features--such as Motorola's push-to-talk feature--and multi-media abilities for easy, on-the-go entertainment. With features like an advanced music player, a VGA camera with 4x zoom, high-speed Web browsing capabilities, and more, the Motorola V365 is an obvious choice for managing both work and play for the smart Cingular customer.
DesignThe V365 features a sleek clamshell design with a large, high-resolution 176 x 220 pixel, 262,000-color screen. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 monochrome display that can display time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. Up and down buttons for volume control are placed on the left side. Most of the phone's features and onscreen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's control pad. A USB-capable data port is housed on the unit's right side, and there's a standard jack to accept universal hands-free headsets (as well as a headset for music listening). A microSD/TransFlash memory card slot is provided for data and music storage.
Calling FeaturesThe V365 supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. You can also assign pictures and ringers to your most common callers. A number of ringtones come preloaded on the phone, and more ringtones can be downloaded from Cingular's MEdia service. There's even an included application, MotoMixer, that enables you to mix your own ringtones.
Speed dialing, which allows you to quickly call preprogrammed numbers, is built in, as is a vibrating alert. Meanwhile the phone's push-to-talk feature allows for quick communication with other Cingular Push-to-Talk contacts at the push of a button. A speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear. Meanwhile, voice-activated dialing makes calling your friends, family, and associates as easy as saying their names. The V365's phone book can hold up to 1,000 contacts, while the phone's Bluetooth connectivity means that your favorite Bluetooth headset is fully compatible.
Messaging, Internet, and ToolsThe V365 has all the bases covered when it comes to messaging and Internet connectivity. The phone features support for instant messaging, and there's also a built-in Web browser allowing you to find information on the Web with ease. And with support for EDGE data speeds, the V365 makes the mobile Internet experience fast and enjoyable.
The V365 comes with a built-in e-mail client (with support for POP3, SMTP and IMAP4 e-mail standards) and traditional text messaging, and video, picture, and sound messaging are also supported. iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit--a plus for mobile e-mail and text messaging users.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the V365, including a voice memo recorder, a calculator, a calendar, and an alarm clock. You can also use the phone's Bluetooth capability to set up a wireless link with a Bluetooth accessory or to connect to a computer or hand-held device to exchange and synchronize data. The phone supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard, which can be used with Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools PC application to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar, and other data with your PC.
Imaging and EntertainmentWith 5 MB of internal memory storage and a memory expansion slot (with support for up to 1 GB of memory), the V365 shines in the entertainment department. The phone's VGA (640 x 480) camera features a 4x digital zoom, image quality options, and an auto-timer so you can be in your pictures, too. Capture stills and then send them to your friends via MMS messaging or e-mail or to your PC via USB or Bluetooth. The V365 adds video capability, too, meaning you can capture short video clips and, just like photos, share them how you see fit. The phone also supports custom graphics for wallpapers so you can dress up the phone to suit your style.
The big news with the V365, though, is the built-in MP3 music player, which can queue up your favorite tracks from a memory card. Jam out to your tunes while you're on the go. And if you're into mobile gaming, the V365 has you covered. The phone ships with several games, and more are available via Cingular's MEdia service.
Vital Statistics The Motorola V365 weighs 4.20 ounces and measures 3.58 x 1.81 x 1.14 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 9.17 hours of digital talk time and up to 300 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies. The phone comes with a one-year limited warranty.

Most chargers I try to use with this phone -- EVEN MOTOROLA CHARGERS -- give an "Unauthorized Charger Error". This is a great reason to never buy a Motorola phone. This is a BIG problem with Motorola phones. Have almost no such issues with other brands.

To me, the deciding factors for a phone are: Call Quality, Size, Batttery Life, Features. So this is what I will focus on:
CALL QUALITY: I'm also very impressed with the call quality and clarity. Both with and without bluetooth, I no longer have to repeat myself or say "what?". The speaker is very loud and clear and unlike the RAZR, you don't have to hold it a certain way to hear. The overall reception is great.
SIZE: The phone is a bit longer than most, but it's very narrow and thin. It a very good compromise. As a result, it's very comfortable as a handset when talking, feels good in the hand, and I am VERY happy with how it feels in my pocket.
The build feels fairly solid and I don't expect to see loose parts in the future.
BATTERY LIFE: OK, I must RAVE here. I received this phone over a week ago and charged it up immediately. I am now on day 8, yes day EIGHT, and have yet to charge the phone again. It's still showing 1 battery bar. Needless to say, I'm quite impressed. Granted, I only enabled the bluetooth radio when I use it and I've only spent about 100 minutes talking on it this past week. Neither of my previous 2 LG phones lasted longer then 3 days under any conditions though.
FEATURES: It has all the bells and whistles: camera, evdo, mp3 playback, voice recorder, video capture, etc... I've not put these to the test yet though.
I must also comment on the charger\data port. It is a standard usb mini port. This means you can buy a standard non-proprietary USB A to USB mini B cable ( < $5 ) and connect this phone to your computer's USB port to RECHARGE THE PHONE and for any needed data connectivity. It's a VERY VERY NICE FEATURE to me. No longer do I need to spend an additional $20 for a data cable and another $30 for a second charger. $5, hook the phone to my pc at work or on the road, and recharge.
Now the cons,
1) yes, it shows fingrprints. Wipe it and forget it.
2) I'll be suprised if the the charger port cover lasts two years. I don't now a better way to cover it though.
3) Screen is smaller than some. This is due to the size of the phone though.
4) DAMN VERIZON for crippling this phones bluetooth profiles and also putting their interface on it. Verizon does this on all their phones though so nothing that you can get around.

Motorola KRZR K1m Red Phone (Verizon Wireless) Review

Motorola KRZR K1m Red Phone (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this phone as a "New Every Two" deal for free with my service renewal.
Pros: The phone is very sharp looking and has some great features including a 1.3 mp camera (average quality) and an MP3 player. The battery life is much better than my previous LG phone and the signal strength is very good as well. Verizon wireless service has always been very good in the Tampa Bay area and most of my family is on the service, so the IN calling plan saves me money.
Cons: Verizon has disabled the use of the Multimedia Studio in Motorola Phone Tools 4.x so they can persuade you to subscribe to the VCast service and pay for content. You can, however, use VZW's free PixPlace to upload or email content to your phone to avoid having to pay for content. Also, the Verizon interface is loaded when you activate the phone, so those who like the standard Motorola interface will likely be disappointed. The VZW interface also appears to disable the vibe-then-ring feature that so many Motorola phone users enjoy.
I like the phone, but I wish VZW didn't feel the need to kill the features. The reports I've read indicate that other wireless companies do not cripple the phone, so let's hope VZW takes the hint soon.
Overall: Great features (the ones that aren't crippled), great reception, good battery life, and great service with VZW in the Tampa Bay area.

Motorola SLVR L7 Unlocked Cell Phone with Camera, MP3/Video Player, MicroSD Slot--International Version with Warranty (Silver) Review

Motorola SLVR L7 Unlocked Cell Phone with Camera, MP3/Video Player, MicroSD Slot--International Version with Warranty (Silver)
Average Reviews:

i have had so many problems with this phone and it has only been two days. They sent a European charger with a converter so when my phone wouldn't charge, I figured that was the problem. After spending $25 on a new charger, I learned that it was the phone that had the problem. The user's manual is in French (luckily I know some French) so it is no use to most buyers. The phone came with a warranty, but no contact info to act on it. My sister and brother-in-law both bought SLVRs from AT&T and love them, so I would recommend that route. DO NOT order it from here.

Motorola DROID A855 Android Phone (Verizon Wireless) Review

Motorola DROID A855 Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)

This multimedia device is truly one for the books. I believe it really rivals, if not tops off the Apple i Phone 3.0G s. It has amazing features and the size and screen quality are impeccable. The built in memory (16GB) accompanied by the expandable micro SD slot is also a great feature. This phone solves the need for having a digital camera, video camera, MP3 player, cellular device, portable messenger, portable web browser and video viewing device. All those components of the device are top of the line and not lackluster as compared to many other smart phones.

Motorola MOTOROKER E8 Unlocked Phone with 2 GB Memory, MicroSD Slot, 2 MP Camera, and Media Player--International Version with No Warranty (Black) Review

Motorola MOTOROKER E8 Unlocked Phone with 2 GB Memory, MicroSD Slot, 2 MP Camera, and Media Player--International Version with No Warranty (Black)
Average Reviews:

This phone is an amazing piece of electronics and would get a five-star rating if it didn't have a few quirks.
Pros
*can support additional memory up to (and maybe beyond) a 16GB micro sd card
*with additional memory, this can make a great substitute for an mp3 player
*takes ok pictures for a cell phone
*can listen to music without headphones
*takes a standard mini headphone jack so you can use your regular noise-canceling headphones
*quad-band so it can be used literally anywhere in the world just by inserting a local SIM card
*good battery life
*excellent sound clarity, even on speaker phone
Cons (the first two are the biggest in my opinion)
*makes a slight chirping noise when the 'buttons' are pressed
*hard to get rid of the notification 'ding' after every call or text
*lack of a cover makes it easy to butt-dial if you forget to flip the switch to turn off the keys
*accessories are hard to find (custom cases, etc)
*not 3G capable (not an issue for me but might be for you)
*can be slow to load playlists if you have a lot of music on the phone

Motorola reinvents its popular MOTOROKR lineup with the technologically advanced ROKR E8 cell phone/digital audio player. It features a morphing keypad that only shows the relevant keys in various modes, a wide variety of music file format compatibility, and wireless Bluetooth stereo music streaming. And it includes new Motorola design innovations, including ModeShift technology for moving from phone to music mode with the touch of a single button and the FastScroll navigation wheel for quickly accessing both your music and contact libraries. This phone also features an internal 2 GB memory, MicroSD memory expansion for up to 4 GB of additional memory, 2.0-megapixel camera/camcorder, and an airplane mode that allows you to play uninterrupted music while flying or when you don't want to be interrupted by incoming calls.
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides quad-band connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.
The ROKR E8 provides you the freedom to access music from a wide variety of sources, whether it's music you've purchased from online stores or from subscription services. It's compatible with Windows Media Player 11, and it access to more than 200 online music stores and simple drag-and-drop organizing of songs, artists, albums and playlists. The phone also includes a built-in FM radio (optional 3.5mm headphones must be plugged in) and a Song ID feature that recognizes and displays tune information (not available in all areas; additional charges may apply).
In music mode, the ROKR E8 delivers great sound through a three-dimensional stereo feature that enhances two-channel audio and an on-board equalizer. Share music with friends over the built-in speaker, use a favorite set of standard stereo wired headphones using the 3.5 mm headset jack. This phone also provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity with the A2DP Bluetooth profile, enabling you to stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones or speaker dock.
A perfect blend of art and science, the face of the E8 is a sleek, seamless panel that features the first haptic touchpad from Motorola, which provides vibrating, tactile feedback. Using breakthrough ModeShift technology from Motorola, the E8 presents you with only the controls you need, at the time you need them--instantly transforming from music player to phone to imaging device with the touch of a button. When powered off, the surface of ROKR E8 shows no visible keys. Power on the device and it presents a virtual numbered keypad on the front surface. Press the virtual music key, and the phone keypad disappears and and is replaced by control keys for the music player (play, pause, fast forward and rewind). Using innovative vibrating haptics technology, the device provides the tactile feedback you expect from a traditional keypad, providing confirmation they have pressed a virtual key.
The ROKR E8 also marks the debut of Motorola's new FastScroll navigation wheel, a variable-speed touch control that lets you easily scroll through all of the content stored on the device. With a gentle slide of the thumb, the wheel quickly scrolls through your music (music mode), contacts (phone mode), calendar (phone mode), or multimedia (imaging mode) content.
The ROKR E8 follows the RAZR2 in offering Motorola's CrystalTalk technology, an innovative feature that automatically accounts for background noise during a call and adjusts the audio quality based on ambient noise conditions to provide the optimal conversational experience. CrystalTalk also reduces the volume of the background noise picked up by the microphone during a call, making it possible to be more easily heard over the phone while in a noisy environment.
The 2-megapixel camera includes an 8x digital zoom and it provides four resolution choices (from 320 x 240 to 1600 x 1200 pixels). It also features a multi-shot mode, self-timer, free memory space indicator, color effects, and multiple shutter sounds (including silent). The phone also includes an impressive video camcorder, providing up to QCIF resolution (176 x 144 pixels) at 15 fps (frames per second. You can record video for as long as you have available space on your MicroSD memory card.
Other features include:

Samsung SPH M220 - Cellular phone - CDMA2000 1X - folder (flip) - blue Review

Samsung SPH M220 - Cellular phone - CDMA2000 1X - folder (flip) - blue
Average Reviews:

I've been using the CDMA Sprint Diamond for 5 months. With the stock Sprint ROM (referring to the software preloaded on the device) you'll be plagued by several problems which thankfully can all be overcome with some software mods and tweaks from great resources like ppcgeeks and xda. These forums host an enthusiastic community of windows mobile developers and "power users" and participating in the community can be one of the most rewarding aspects to owning this type of device. Just by lurking around the forums and reading the stickies you will learn a lot and be well on your way to customizing the device to suit your needs. That said, this tweaking process is not for everyone; if you're not interested in learning about technology and prefer something that just works right out of the box then get an iPhone instead. Out of the box, this phone has the following severe issues:
1. Poor battery life and significant battery drain even while the phone is not in use.
2. Slow system performance and lag while TF3D is running. TF3D (Touch Flow 3D - AKA Manila) is HTC's very slick user interface which sits on top of windows mobile looking pretty and giving you quick access to your most essential info and programs. With usage the phone will periodically become unresponsive or freeze and need to be restarted. (Think back to Windows 98)
3. The phone will wake up from an incoming call or text message or when changing cell towers. That means the screen will turn on and become active which makes the device prone to pocket dialing while it's in your pocket. On this diamond there is no way to disable that behavior. (There is a registry edit that works on the GSM Diamond) The work around is locking the phone before tucking it away but the default lock program is not great.
4. TF3D does not include a calender or task screen. That means you have to use pocket outlook to manage appointments and tasks. Like most native windows mobile 6.1 applications, pocket outlook is not finger friendly so you'll either need to be very accurate with your finger nails or use the stylus.
5. Some of the phones capabilities have been hidden.
As mentioned, the good news is that all of these issues can be overcome and I'll tell you how. First, go to the HTC Diamond forum on PPCGeeks.com and read the stickies on how to unlock your phone and flash a custom Rom. If you have a basic working knowledge of windows, zip files and things of that nature - this stuff is easy to do.
MightyRom is currently the most popular custom ROM on PPCGeeks. I'm running MightyRom version 4.7. Due to the upgrades and enhancements that mighty has "cooked" into his Rom, the phone becomes much more usable. In a nutshell, battery life is doubled, performance is faster and smoother...and stability is improved but the occasional restart is still necessary. Hidden features such as Internet connection sharing are enabled. Even the built in FM radio is working thanks to an app that was ported from the European GSM diamond. While some ROMs are packed with lots of applications, mighty keeps his light and clean which means it doesn't come with many applications pre-installed other than the essential ones. Fortunately, installing any other applications of your choice is as easy as downloading the .CAB file to the phone (or copying it to the phone) and then running it on the phone.
Beyond the ROM, there are a few applications in particular that I recommend because they address the other issues that I mentioned above.
1. S2A2 (Free) - Slide to Unlock 2 is a replacement for the default lock screen. It's essentially a knock off of the iPhone's lock screen. S2U2 works well with MightyRom, is easy to use, looks good and has lots of options.
2. ThumbCal ($19.95 USD) - This sits on top of Pocket Outlook providing you with a finger friendly calendar and task manager. The week view is especially well designed and very useful. 14 days free trial. There are also other free soft keyboard alternatives you can try.
3. TouchPal ($19.99 USD) - While the included software keyboards are good, touchPal is the best in breed. The compact QWERTY layout in TouchPal gets the most functionality out the small amount of space available on the Diamond's screen and it's actually FUN to use once you get the hang of it. Fully Free for 30 days with a nag screen after that if you don't buy.
4. G-Alarm (Free) - This is a free finger friendly alarm program with tons of options. I use it to set up alarms using an MP3 playlist which snooze when I turn the phone upside down.
The above makes up the core of my setup which really works nicely for me. Of course, there are many other directions you could go in.
Perhaps the most exciting news on the horizon is the new version of TF3D that HTC is putting in the new Diamond 2. It's being ported to the Diamond (see: "XBmod Rhodium Beta Manila"). This version of TF3D includes some extra tabs such as a working Calender tab which may alleviate the need to buy a separate calendar app like ThumbCal.
One final note: Sprint finally released an official ROM update which is an improvement over the originally shipped ROM but the best custom ROMs will still offer the best performance and features for your Diamond.

Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera and Video Player--International Version with Warranty (Cosmic Blue) Review

Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera and Video Player--International Version with Warranty (Cosmic Blue)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Purchased the RAZR V3 for my wife for Christmas. I am just sick of her being stuck in contract after contract with AT&T and wanted to break the cycle. She also needed a phone for some European trips so the unlocked tri-band phone was the perfect solution on all counts. The first one arrived in plenty of time for Christmas but when it came time to use it, the phone wouldn't even charge. No problem I sent it back to Amazon and insisted they replace and not repair the unit (you have that option despite the fact that is not explained to you in the warranty paperwork). The second unit arrived about a week later and all is well. The European charger that it came with (our phone was sourced through Hong Kong) is a bit funky, but the phone works far better than her old V550 and is able to lock onto signal in places her old phone never could. Don't hand your money to the evil phone barrons!!! Get this phone and kiss your contract goodbye!!!

At just over a half-inch thick, the quad-band Motorola RAZR V3 is the perfect combination of sleek design and powerful features. With long-range Bluetooth, support for video playback, a VGA (640 x 480) camera and a gorgeous color screen, the RAZR V3 is everything you're looking for in a stylish mobile companion.
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides quad-band connectivity (850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider. This phone comes with a one-year warranty from a third party provider.
Design The RAZR V3's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, anodized aluminum construction. A large 176 x 220 color display with 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The VGA camera lens is housed above this display. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control while a voice button on the right side of the unit allows you to enter voice memos and create voice dialing profiles. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A charging port and USB data cable port is placed on the bottom of the phone.
Calling Features The RAZR V3's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. It also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. A number of ringtones come preloaded on the phone. There's even an included application, MotoMixer, that lets you mix your own ringtones. For times when you want to be discreet, there's a vibrating alert. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear while voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names.
Because the RAZR V3 is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets can be configured with the phone for total hands-free operation.
Messaging, Internet and Tools The RAZR V3 is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, sound and video via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. The phone also supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard, can be used with Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools PC application to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data with your PC.

The phone is capable of MPEG4 video playback when you receive a video message, or if you upload video to the phone via USB or Bluetooth. The RAZR V3 also supports custom graphics for wallpapers so you can dress up the phone to suit your fancy.
Operating the RAZR Battery Door The RAZR V3's battery cover is designed to have a very tight fit with the phone case. Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera, and Video Player--U.S. Version with Warranty (Black) Review

Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera, and Video Player--U.S. Version with Warranty (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is my first review ever. This is also the first time I have ever ordered something from Amazon that was not what I expected.
The phone does work. It was also new, as stated. Works fine. This does not appear to be a US version though.
1.) The included manual has a table of contents going up to page 100+... The last page of the manual cuts off at page 80-something. It also says in the back to contact Motorola-Asia for assistance. Not a deal breaker, but this may indicate the level of detail of the seller.
2.) I say this does not appear to be a US version because I have two (2) used U.S. Razr v3's in my briefcase right now and this is just not quite the same. This seems it might be a U.K. version.
My 2 previously purchased US versions do NOT have the extra button above the wheel/pad. This seems to be the only visual distinction...which results in...
No such things as "missed calls" on this phone. It is classified as a Received Call, but either has a "check" or "no check" next to the entry seemingly indicative of it being a missed call or not.
Speed dial assignments (1 though 9) are 4 digit values (1001 through 1009).
Cannot lock Smart Key on phone exterior.
No light illuminated when charging.
"Center" is spelled "Centre"
Installed graphics are not even remotely the same.
Doesn't seem that time will auto-set.
Doesn't even use the same battery part # as my 2 other U.S.-purchased phones.
That is why I do not believe this to be a U.S. Version phone as stated.
I am not very happy about this. I am going to seek to get this resolved. This is why I purchased this from Amazon because I believe they will make this right.
End

I ordered this product to replace a phone my daughter broke.. when it arrived it was blue.. which I needed a phone so I didn't care.. and then I turned it on and found that is a Motorola China.. which could not be activated where I live.. and was programed to work in chinese. so I had to send it back.. I paid 12 dollars to send it back and J&R ( the comapany in NY where the phone was shipped from) would not give me a full refund.. and then it is only a store credit.. in which, I would never buy anything from there again to start with. very very dissatisfied

Need to trim down? The Motorola L6i is the answer. This stylish, quad-band world phone has more than just great looks, with features like Bluetooth, mobile email, a speakerphone, voice dialing, a camera, and more. Offering a nearly identical feature set to the Motorola SLVR L6, the L6i includes an integrated FM radio. Now you can have a skinny phone that's big on the features that make your life easier.
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides quad-band connectivity (850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.
Design At less than a half-inch thick, the L6i features a large 128 x 160-pixel color display with 65,000 colors that resides above the handset's backlit control pad. Most of the phone's menus and features are controlled by a circular control pad just above the numeric keypad. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side, and there's also a highly accessible mini-USB port on the right side of the phone for data synchronization. The VGA camera unit is placed on the back of the phone.
Calling Features The L6i's internal phone book can hold up to 500 contacts. The phone also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3-based ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. It's compatible with polyphonic ringtones, and there's a vibrating alert for times when you want to be discreet. Picture and ringer ID functions let you assign photos or ringtones to incoming callers, while a voice dialing feature lets you call your contacts by speaking to the phone. Plus, a built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear.
Because the L6i is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets can be configured with the phone for total hands-free operation.
Messaging, Internet, and Tools The L6i is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, and sound via messages. Instant messaging is supported via AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and ICQ, and the phone also ships with a built-in email client. Plus, there's a wireless Web browser for mobile web browsing. iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the L6i, including a calculator, a calendar, and an alarm clock. Use the phone's Bluetooth capability to set up a wireless link with a Bluetooth accessory or connect to a computer or hand-held device to exchange and synchronize data.
Imaging and Entertainment The L6i's built-in camera is ready to take 640 x 480 pictures whenever you need to--so you're always ready to capture life's unexpected moments. You can even capture 15-second videos with the camera. The phone also supports custom graphics for wallpapers so you can dress it up to suit your mood.

Verizon Motorola Droid A855 Android Cell Phone (no contract) Review

I've had this phone for a while now and it is FANTASTIC!
I upgraded to it from a blackberry storm thinking it wouldn't be that different from one smart phone to another, but boy was I wrong!
I love my Droid; there are SO many more wonderful apps available for it and it I love that it syncs everything with my gmail.
I am NOT very good with phones (tend to beat up on them a lot) but I have NEVER had any problems with this one breaking or anything.
