So far, I love this phone! It gets GREAT reception, the speaker phone is just as good as using the phone normally. The call quality is great even in noisy enviornments...I work in a factory and my wife can actually hear me without me yelling into the phone, and what's better is that I can hear her, too! Wait a minute, that's not always a good thing! OOPS! Hopefully she won't read this! The camera is not as bad as some of these other reviews say, at least I'm happy with it. your opinion may vary. I do miss the QWERTY keyboard, but at least this phone works and no more butt dialing! All the AT&T listings in the address book are a pain, but you do learn to get used to working around them.

Casio G'zOne Boulder Phone, Orange (Verizon Wireless) Review

Casio G'zOne Boulder Phone, Orange (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Verizon broke Casio's phone, but has finally fixed it. A free upgrade to software version 09 or later fixes both the terrible sound quality and the dismal battery life that made this phone infamous. This phone is now much more like its predecessor, the Gzone Type S, but with a better camera
To confirm you have the new software, go to the "Settings & Tools" menu, then "9. Phone Info", then "SW/HW Version", then "Software Version". The last 3 digits should be M09 (or later). You can also check the outside of the box to see if it already has this version--look at the last barcode on the Proof of Purchase sticker.
If you have a Boulder with obsolete software, you must go to a Verizon store (or a very good reseller) and have them perform the upgrade. The upgrade is too big to be distributed over the air. The Boulder I received in December 2008 arrived with the M09 firmware.
This is Verizon's third rugged Gzone phone. They're bigger than most cellphones, but you can actually take it with you in the rain, skiing, hiking, or rafting. Compared to the preceding "Type S" model, this phone is significantly lighter--it feels less sturdy, but in reality the plastic case is probably almost as strong as the Type S metal case. The Boulder also lacks the antenna loop on top that made it easy to attach to a backpack or belt loop.
Based on a week of use, the Boulder's plastic case is much easier to scratch than its predecessors--it's not nearly as fragile as an iPod, but not as indestructible as an all-terrain phone like this should be.
This is a great phone if you don't want to pay Verizon $15+/month to watch video or browse the web. I like the sturdy waterproof design that I can take with me, instead of having to give white-glove treatment to a typical fragile phone. (My last phone, from Motorola, died after getting four feet from a hot tub, even without any water touching it.)
My Boulder battery lasted for four days of moderate use, with EVDO turned off. (To learn how to do this, check out the Howard Forums.) With the software update, this is a good rugged phone for folks who don't want a fragile gadget.

Built to military specifications to survive extreme shock, water and dust environments, the Casio G'zOne Boulder for Verizon is ideal for highly-mobile and active users who want access to Verizon's always-on Push to Talk service. This rough and tough clamshell phone also includes an electronic compass and flashlight--perfect for your outdoor treks. And when you want a break from it all, you can listen to your favorite tunes with the multi-format digital audio player--compatible with downloads from Verizon's V CAST Music and Rhapsody services. Other features include a 1.3-megapixel camera/camcorder, A-GPS location capabilities (with access to VZ Navigator's turn-by-turn directions), MicroSD memory expansion (to 8 GB), Bluetooth connectivity for both communication headsets and stereo music streaming, and up to 3.6 hours of talk time.
Verizon's Push to Talk service leverages EV-DO Rev. A technology, which provides customers with fast two-way communication with one person or a group of people. In addition to the simplicity of one number, national coast-to-coast coverage and no hidden charges or fees, this service also offers Presence Information, which shows you who is "on" and available to receive a Push to Talk call.
Verizon Service Options With support for the EV-DO high-speed data standard, you'll enjoy fast access to the Internet and Verizon's multimedia services (additional charges applicable), with average download speeds ranging from 400 to 700 Kbps and peak rates up to 2 Mbps. (Learn more about where EV-DO coverage is offered.) The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. V Cast Music offers nearly 2 million songs, with more being added all the time.
In addition to the V Cast Music service, this phone is also compatible with Verizon's V CAST Music with Rhapsody, which enables you to access this exclusive digital music service for RealNetworks and for MTV Networks. V CAST Music with Rhapsody delivers unlimited monthly access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. In addition, customers who purchase music over-the-air are able to download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.
The V Cast Video service enables you to stream or download video clips to your phone from a variety of news, entertainment, sports, and weather channels, including CNN, ABC News, E!, CBS Sports, The Weather Channel, and VH1.
Verizon's Mobile eMail gives you access to your Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and AOL accounts so you can read, write, and reply. Access your address book, receive e-mail alerts and more, right on your Verizon Wireless phone. Getting on the Internet is easy using Verizon's Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Verizon's Get It Now wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Get It Now service.
With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access Verizon's VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps.
This phone is also compatible with Verizon's Field Force Manager service, a powerful Web-based application combined with a handset application that provides visibility and control for all of your mobile workers. It's a turnkey wireless-solutions package that's breaking new ground in resource tracking and management. It is composed of three solution modules:
Location and Tracking uses rich, detailed mapping to show the location and location history of field workers; provides location information when users clock in and out; shows where they are when they accept and complete jobs; creates an audit trail to validate job information for customers; and generates turn-by-turn driving directions.
Electronic Timecard gives employees an automated way to capture their time, and gives employers the ability to export this information into many current payroll systems for processing.
Job Dispatch provides an automated way to manage customer service requests, dispatch field personnel, and track job progress through completion.

Phone FeaturesThe G'zOne Boulder's clamshell design features a protective bed of silicon rubber and surrounded on the outside by a sturdy frame of reinforced plastic coated with polyurethane. With unique screws, keypads and side keypads, water-resistant fitters and O-ring combinations, the G'zOne Boulder is able to withstand blowing rant and high humidity and can even stay underwater up to 30 minutes (at a depth of 1 meter with the ports closed).
The outside of the clamshell has a round, 1.2-inch monochrome screen that displays current time, signal strength, and battery life, and it can also switch to an electronic compass readout. The exterior of the face also includes the camera lens and flash. The internal LCD measures 2 inches (diagonally) and has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution with support for a 65K color depth. The phonebook can store up to 500 contact entries, each with multiple fields for phone numbers and email addresses. It supports caller groups and ringer/picture ID. The Water Resistance test was performed in accordance with Method 506.4, Procedure I. The G'zOne Type-S was subjected to this test with the handset open and closed, but with ports closed for 30 minutes on the front of the unit and then 30 minutes on the back of the unit. The test was designed to simulate rainfall of 2 inches per hour with a 40 MPH wind. Result: The G'zOne Type-S showed no visible evidence of damage or deterioration caused by testing.
The Humidity test was performed in accordance with Method 507.4. The G'zOne Type-S tested for operation after the conclusion of the tenth cycle. Each cycle was 24 hours and the entire test was performed over ten days. The temperature was cycled between 86 and 140°F with the relative humidity at 95 percent constant. Result: The G'zOne Type-S showed no visible evidence of damage or deterioration caused by testing.
The Drop test was performed in accordance with Method 516.5, Procedure IV. The G'zOne Type-S was sequentially dropped in non-operating mode, onto each face, edge and corner for a total of 26 drops from a height of 1.50 meters (4.9 feet). The drop surface was defined as two-inch-thick plywood over a steel plate over concrete. Result: The G'zOne Type-S powered on.
The Dust Resistance test was performed in accordance with Method 510.4, Procedure I. A temperature of 95°F was used for this test. Silica flour as defined by the test standard was used. Devices are given a passing grade when moving parts are not bound or blocked and if the unit powers on. Result: The G'zOne Type-S showed no visible evidence of damage or deterioration.
The Immersion test was conducted in accordance with Method 512.4, Procedure 1, with the handset immersed in water for a period of 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter with ports closed. Result: The G'zOne successfully powered on with no visible evidence of damage or deterioration.

This is a great backup world phone. My father used this in ghana as gifts. It was praised because it was easy to use.
It also has a microsd slot and a mini flash light at the top. Even if you have a world phone, this also makes a great backup phone. The speaker is very loud as well. For the price this is a great phone to have. It reminds me of a boost mobile phone without the terrible service.

Samsung B2100 Unlocked Quad-Band Phone, Extreme Anti-Shock, Waterproof, Built-in Flashlight, Bluetooth-International Warranty-Black Review

It is unfortunate more mobile phones are not made to be waterproof and shockproof with a built-in fm radio, as the Samsung B2100 is. We had high hopes when we purchased this "unlocked" mobile phone through Amazon.com, however, upon receipt we soon realized it was only partially unlocked. We spoke to AT&T Customer Support over the phone, took it to our local AT&T store, followed by taking it to a Best Buy Mobile store, and all three sources, and their multiple representatives all concluded the phone was not fully unlocked. This is a UK based cell phone, and we are US based customers currently on the AT&T network. The phone is unlocked in the sense that we can make and receive phone calls without issue, but not fully unlocked in that the phone does not permit us to send or receive photo messages, nor can we connect to the internet with it. When AT&T and Best Buy Mobile Reps went into the menu settings of the phone, to where they needed to adjust the corresponding tower/network code to remedy these issues, the UK code was grayed out (0.0.00.0) and therefore unchangeable to a US one. I then e-mailed Samsung USA and Samsung UK with no response. AT&T phone based customer support was unable to proceed with any step-by-step instructions, as this UK phone is not in their US database, which is why we then went to our local AT&T store instead, per their request. When our local AT&T store could not help us in any way, despite the best efforts of their entire in-store team, we then proceeded to Best Buy Mobile, who also tried vigilantly, without success to address this issue. We also Googled this issue, and found a few other folks who had these same issues, but nobody seemed to be offering any real solutions. On that note, we even posted our issue on Fixya.com, with no response of any kind. Having exhausted our efforts, today I called Amazon.com who was kind enough to e-mail us the necessary information to begin our full-refund process. It's just unfortunate we could not find a fix for this issue, as I am sure it's out there somewhere, as we would have liked to keep the phone. None of the US phones currently for sale at our local AT&T store or local Best Buy Mobile are said to be waterproof, as this one is, and all of their "military grade" phones are flip-phones, with minimal water resistance.
If you do not care about being unable to send/receive photo messages, or connect to the internet, and just want a durable waterproof phone, this may be the phone for you. There's a "Samsung B2100 Review" currently on YouTube, which I will attempt to link below, showing the phone fully submerged in a tank of water, receiving a phone call, and still working perfectly when they take it back out. Oh, and it has a built-in flashlight too, just in case (no camera flash though).

Bought this phone from Amazon prior to travel to Italy. Upon arrival at Rome FCO, I bought a Vodafone SIMS card which came preloaded with five euros. Used phone and text all over Italy and even texted kins in US - no problem phone works great! This phone has a lot of features for the money. Used the built in phone alarm for wake up - specially helpful when travelling. The phone came with little instructions; not a problem ... if you've used even the most basic cell phone before, you'll figure it out easily. The best part is that it is cheap, a quad band and unlocked - take it anywhere in the world. Thank you Amazon!

I use an iPhone, but wanted an unlocked quad-band phone to use overseas with various SIM cards to avoid AT&T's roaming charges. I was hesitant to order this, because I had never heard of Blu and there weren't any reviews either here or elsewhere. But the price was right, so I thought I would give it a go. I was very pleased with what I got. The phone works fine. I don't think that it seems badly put together. It's small and lightweight, but that's a good thing. It's low on features, but it does the job if all you want is a no-frills, basic phone. I recommend it for two types of user: (1) For people like me who want an inexpensive second phone for international roaming; (2) for anyone who wants a very inexpensive unlocked phone for domestic uprepaid use and who doesn't need features. Blu emphasizes music in marketing this device. I haven't used it for that and I suspect that most people who buy it won't have that in mind. Caveat: I've only had it a short while and have taken it on one trip, so I can't comment on how it stands up over time.

Samsung Xcover 271 B2710 Dust and Water Resistant Unlocked Phone with FM Radio and Pedometer - International Warranty - Black Review

Samsung Xcover 271 B2710 Dust and Water Resistant Unlocked Phone with FM Radio and Pedometer - International Warranty - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
While I have only had this telephone for one week I have already used it in a variety of environments, wet and dry, and it does deliver as promised. This phone is solid, well constructed and can stand up to the elements. As for features, I don't want to get into too much detail as there are plenty of other resources online that you can use to find out the technical specs of this device. As for usability, in terms of signal quality, clarity and basic interaction with the phones operating system, I fell like this phone should last out my newly renewed 2 year contract and do what it is designed to do, function well in all environments. I was just coming off a contract with a Blackberry 8900, which I loved, but just didn't like paying for the extra data plan on when I decided to go smart phone cold turkey.
One of the things I did like about this model was how the interface was very similar to some of the Nokia's that I had previously owned. This is the type of OS that only takes a click or two to access exactly what you need and with enough practice, can get where you want to by memory without even looking at the screen.
While we are at it, let's talk about the screen real quick. There are a ton of adjustments that you can make to the background, fonts, layouts, size etc. and I find the screen easy to read and very sharp...indoors. Outside, the screen can be a bit darker than I prefer but I wouldn't say it is totally unreadable, but is a bit dark, even with the brightness turned to max. I have heard some people say that this is a deal-breaker with this phone and if you live in a bright and sunny climate, you may want to reconsider, especially if you are outdoors a lot. I didn't feel like docking this phone a star because of this flaw because to me, as long as the screen is usable, I am happy. Like I said, indoors, the screen is sharp, colorful and can be configured in a variety of ways.
What I can't report on, however, is the efficiency of the web browser as I don't have any type of data plan that I can use without being charged. Like I said, I went smart phone cold turkey but I would imagine on a 3G network this browser would handle most basic cell phone apps just fine. It does have some options to set up e-mail accounts on it but I just use it for its basic organizer tools and phone calls.
I do recommend that you check out the youtube videos on this phone. For me, the proven durability was a major selling point as I was always extremely cautious with my Blackberry and want something not that I can abuse, but can drop and not panic over.
Oh yeah, this phone does have a built in flashlight and compass which work very well and while it doesn't look like it, I find the sealed keypad easy to use. The company that I go through for this phone is a regional GSM network that roams on AT&T but, any cell phone company that will let you bring in an unlocked GSM phone should let you bring this one in. As for the price, well I have always felt that cell phones have an unnecessarily high retail price and mine sells for $79.99 with a two year contract. I feel that Amazon's asking price is fair as you are buying a fairly rugged phone that should give you years of service.
Reception-wise, in the steel and concrete high school that I teach in, I always have at least one bar and overall have better reception than my 8900 previously did. Also, the battery barely goes down. I might go down one bar in three days with an hour or use per day. Of course, the battery is only one week old but the battery is rated with a decent amount of talk and/or standby time.
Hopefully, I have covered enough basics on this phone and may add to it if I think if anything else. Let's see, yes it can play mp3's and it does have a built in FM radio that comes with headphones that double as a mic for phone calls. I believe it can accept up to a 16GB micro sd card but again, you will want to look up the tech specs on your own.
Go to [...]gsmarena.com for more details on this phone and don't forget to check out the youtube reviews. All in all, it has been rough kicking the smartphone habit bit this phone is making that transition a little bit easier.
UPDATE: If you want to see just how durable this phone is, look it up on gadgetstress.com and you will be blown away by the durability of this device. It rates 94 on a 100 point scale. Basically after the apocalypse three things will be remaining...cockroaches, Twinkies, and the Samsung b2710!
UPDATE #2: I just added a 4GB Micro SDHC card to this unit and...my PC refuses to recognize it without any software. So, I popped the card in the larger adapter and then into a Sandisk reader and I was able to drag and drop albums from my music folder (WMA format) and the phone had absolutely no problems reading them. I have several options such as artist, album and genre view while using the phone to play mp3's.
Unfortunately, the headset is proprietary mini USB and I honestly haven't checked to see if there are any aftermarket ones out there, but the supplied headset (which is also used for hands-free talking) puts out pretty good sound. A decent amount of bass and they were loud enough for my taste. The phone also supports album art and I may actually use this phone as a substitute MP3 player instead of my old 30GB Zune that has faithfully served me for the last 3 years. The loudspeaker puts out pretty good volume for listening without the headset, although if you want to use the FM radio, you need to have the headset connected as I would guess it functions as an antenna. With the headset attached you can also play music through the built in speaker.
Really, this phone is almost like the Swiss Army Knife of cell phones. Yeah, I am sure that there are smartphones out there they have many, many more features and as a former recovering Blackberry abuser, oops, I mean user, it is nice to have a slightly more limited set of features that you can use really well instead of being inundated with a ton of Apps they you probably wont use anyway. Oh, hey, could your smartphone survive a dip in the pool, lake or ocean for 30 minutes or more? Didn't think so.
I still get stellar battery life with maybe one bar out of five disappearing after 3 days of average use (around 45 minutes of talk time per day).
Finally...
Pro's
Rugged quality build
Good battery life
Colorful screen
Lots of features
Flashlight and compass
Good 2MP camera
Large easy to read keys
Shockproof
Waterproof
Dust-proof
Simple OS
The Hummer of cell phones
Con's
Dim outdoor screen
A tad heavy
Speakerphone doesn't get as loud as I would like in a noisy environment but is usable.
I don't know what I will do when this model disappears because if you are someone who wants a fun, simple to use, regular cellphone, that can survive a tumble off the table, or down the stairs or the occasional roll down the side of a cliff, you really don't have a lot of options.

Average Reviews:

The Samsung B2100 is a decent phone, and feels good in the hand. I found it difficult to get up and running though. For example, there was no advice on how to migrate an address book from SIM card to phone--the automaticity I was used to just wasn't there. The menus are a bit clunky to move around, but speed dial and short cuts help. The one annoying thing is that the middle selector button immediately connects you to the WAP application and there is no way I have found to change this option. Also, you need to re-configure Time/Date every time you take the battery out--more annoyance. Texting is awkward, and voice slightly muffled, due to the phone's waterporoofing. Forget about using this mobile for Internet browsing--this is NOT a multimedia phone. The flashlight and voice recorder features are very useful, but the radio and music player less so because of the poor jack cover design--see below.
Pluses: a really tough phone. Hardware design wise, the only real failing is the flimsy multifunction jack cover, which swings downwards and slightly out, making it vulnerbale to a knock from your hand. The camera works okay, and it is possible to take good snaps in certain conditions. With only 1.3 megapixels picture quality is not great though. Videos also turn out rough. But the reason you buy this phone is for its ruggedness, most particularly the waterproofing. Don't expect much more from it. You can adequately call, text and take snaps in harsh and challenging environments. Therefore, the B2100 is a good choice for manual workers, travellers, fisherpeople etc. If you want multimedia, or any kind of slickness, don't buy this phone.
Update: I've been using the Samsung B2100 for a while now and the thing that has come to bother me most is the terrible menu/function design. You have to take so many actions to achieve the simplest of tasks. Dreadful. On the other hand, my copy is still working and can definitely take a knock. Overall, not an everyday phone but handy for rough and tumble situations.

Casio G'zOne Boulder Phone, Black/Silver (Verizon Wireless) Review

Casio G'zOne Boulder Phone, Black/Silver (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered my orange Boulder G Z One from Verizon after extending my contract, paying 29.95 for the phone. I read a lot of reviews about the phone, most being negative. Being a skeptic of other peoples opinions, intelligance often sheep mentality, I decided to try it out myself. I have been using an original G Z One V type for over two years, so my review is basically in comparison to that phone. Durability- there is no question that the Type V is a more durable phone. It feels heavy, it is large, basically bombproof. The Boulder on the other hand feels similar to any standard cell phone. I assume they did testing on it's case, but I am not as likely to throw it against the wall like I have with my Type V. (Just to show it off). LOL.. The camera is a 1.3 mp, not a 2.0 mp, which is a downgrade from most phones, but not really that big of a deal. It does have a great video camera,- with the ability to record lenghty videos, I think based on how much expandable memory you have availible. I have a micro SD card with 512 mb, and I recently recorded over 12 minutes of video just to test it out. I actually turned it off cause I had to take a call. Who knows how much video this phone can take???I do feel that the apeture to let light in on the Boulder is a bit small, pics seem to be a bit dark compared to the Type V. As far as the sound quality, I can tell you that the speaker phone is poor, especially compared to the Type V. It can still be used as a speaker, but expect to hold the phone close to your ear, as the speaker phone volume is just low, no matter what you do. This, in turn also makes the ringer have a low volume, which at times can be a drag. Fortunatly, it DOES have Bluetooth, which the Type V did not, hence the reason I bought it in the first place. Using the phone in standard mode, (holding to the ear) position, it is just as good as any other cell I have used. Perhaps there has been a recent software upgrade?? I have had no problem having people on the other end hearing me. I do like the drop in charger, which is easy to use. The battery life is not that great. I am looking into an extended life battery, which will be a wothwhile purchase if I can find it. I really like the mini SD card feature. That is certainly an upgrade over the Type V. It has a music player, but as previously mentioned, the speaker is poor so you are better off using earphones like a walkman feature. (OK Im dating myself) ok ok- IPOD- is that better? It does have a PTT feature, but with the outside speaker being poor, I cancelled that part of my service. I like txting better anyway. As far as waterproofing, I have gotten mine wet several times and had no probs so far. I have also dropped mine hard, again, no probs.
Here is a list of pros and cons- IMO
G Z One Boulder- PROS
smaller, smoother, lighter (bascially standard size for a cell) fits in pocket w/o protruding antenna, ect.
has expandable memory mini SD card
has music player
has Bluetooth
has decent on board memory
has a failry accurate electronic compass
Orange phone has a good looking black keyboard (silver phone has silver keys- not as cool)
drop in charger is great
Flashlight feature is awesome
You can record LONG videos!!!, I think it is unlimited single video lenght, based on memory avalible (vrs. 15 seconds with most phones!)CONS-
Battery life is not that great
no ability to transfer data from old phone (no "Backup Assistant" from Verizon)
Speaker phone is poor sound quailty and volume
push to talk (PTT) is a poor choice with this phone, ref- speaker phone issues
Overall I like my new orange Boulder phone. I had 30 days to decide to keep it or not, and I am going to keep it. I miss the tough, cool look of my trusty Type V, but the Bluetooth and size of this new phone are deciding factors for me.

This phone is a great phone.... If your looking for other features.... Don't bother. Can't do picture mail, can't do video msging, can't do a lot of things. Well why the five star review? Because what it does, it does extremely well. I've had it on and used it daily for a week now and I'm only down to half battery.... Thats incredible. I took this phone to the beach .... And went swimming with it! No problem. Drunken fumbling.. No problem. This phone is great for day to day if all you need (or want) is a phone that just works.
I called the company only once and they were very helpful, they are sending me ( for free) a piece I lost. Just can't beat that kind of service.
Best feature
It can record phone calls! Very useful
Pros:
Battery life is better than almost anything
Rugged and waterproof
Their warranty is the best in the business and they stand behind it
Cons
Software is just bad... Some things you would think would be easy are either missing completely or just not usable
Screen is not scratch proof.. Don't key it

I am a fishing guide and bought this phone because it was advertised as waterproof in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. I dropped it in less than a foot of water, it was submerged for less than a minute and the phone is now completely useless. This phone is junk.

Sturdy and reliable but seems to be a little slow at times. I really like the keyboard once I got used to it.

Offering a slim, lightweight clamshell design, the Samsung A437 is a great choice for users looking for an easy-to-use and affordable cell phone that's outfitted with some very helpful extras. Weighing just 2.9 ounces, the svelte A437 measures 0.63 inches thick and is easily pocketable. It includes a number of handy features that will enhance your mobile lifestyle, including Bluetooth wireless connectivity for hands-free headsets, an integrated VGA-quality still camera, and an external display that shows who's calling as well as the current time. This quad-band phone communicates over GSM/GPRS networks and offers global voice and data roaming in over 125 countries. This model comes in gold, and it's also available in slate gray and gold.
AT&T Service This phone operates on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"), with availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. This third-generation, high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.
It's also pre-loaded with AT&T's Mobile Banking application, which is compatible with accounts from banks including Wachovia, SunTrust, Synovus, and BancorpSouth. Mobile Banking from AT&T affords you the flexibility to stay on top of your banking needs while you're on the move, enabling you to check your account balance, securely transfer funds between your eligible accounts, view and pay bills, and review your transaction history. AT&T customers pay no additional fee to access mobile banking and, because the application resides on the handset, the service is optimized to reduce the number of new page views necessary to complete a transaction. Minimal data usage charges apply and vary based on individual use.
The phone has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more.
