(More customer reviews)To me, the deciding factors for a phone are: Call Quality, Size, Batttery Life, Features. So this is what I will focus on:
CALL QUALITY: I'm also very impressed with the call quality and clarity. Both with and without bluetooth, I no longer have to repeat myself or say "what?". The speaker is very loud and clear and unlike the RAZR, you don't have to hold it a certain way to hear. The overall reception is great.
SIZE: The phone is a bit longer than most, but it's very narrow and thin. It a very good compromise. As a result, it's very comfortable as a handset when talking, feels good in the hand, and I am VERY happy with how it feels in my pocket.
The build feels fairly solid and I don't expect to see loose parts in the future.
BATTERY LIFE: OK, I must RAVE here. I received this phone over a week ago and charged it up immediately. I am now on day 8, yes day EIGHT, and have yet to charge the phone again. It's still showing 1 battery bar. Needless to say, I'm quite impressed. Granted, I only enabled the bluetooth radio when I use it and I've only spent about 100 minutes talking on it this past week. Neither of my previous 2 LG phones lasted longer then 3 days under any conditions though.
FEATURES: It has all the bells and whistles: camera, evdo, mp3 playback, voice recorder, video capture, etc... I've not put these to the test yet though.
I must also comment on the charger\data port. It is a standard usb mini port. This means you can buy a standard non-proprietary USB A to USB mini B cable ( < $5 ) and connect this phone to your computer's USB port to RECHARGE THE PHONE and for any needed data connectivity. It's a VERY VERY NICE FEATURE to me. No longer do I need to spend an additional $20 for a data cable and another $30 for a second charger. $5, hook the phone to my pc at work or on the road, and recharge.
Now the cons,
1) yes, it shows fingrprints. Wipe it and forget it.
2) I'll be suprised if the the charger port cover lasts two years. I don't now a better way to cover it though.
3) Screen is smaller than some. This is due to the size of the phone though.
4) DAMN VERIZON for crippling this phones bluetooth profiles and also putting their interface on it. Verizon does this on all their phones though so nothing that you can get around.

Pros: The phone is very sharp looking and has some great features including a 1.3 mp camera (average quality) and an MP3 player. The battery life is much better than my previous LG phone and the signal strength is very good as well. Verizon wireless service has always been very good in the Tampa Bay area and most of my family is on the service, so the IN calling plan saves me money.
Cons: Verizon has disabled the use of the Multimedia Studio in Motorola Phone Tools 4.x so they can persuade you to subscribe to the VCast service and pay for content. You can, however, use VZW's free PixPlace to upload or email content to your phone to avoid having to pay for content. Also, the Verizon interface is loaded when you activate the phone, so those who like the standard Motorola interface will likely be disappointed. The VZW interface also appears to disable the vibe-then-ring feature that so many Motorola phone users enjoy.
I like the phone, but I wish VZW didn't feel the need to kill the features. The reports I've read indicate that other wireless companies do not cripple the phone, so let's hope VZW takes the hint soon.
Overall: Great features (the ones that aren't crippled), great reception, good battery life, and great service with VZW in the Tampa Bay area.

What I like:
- It's purple!
- With the right headset, you can do voice recognition calling. Very useful in the car
- It's fun to take pics, even though it's not the best resolution out there
- Fun size
What I don't like
- You can't charge the battery and use the hands-free at the same time. I'm on the road a lot, so I have to choose between the phone calls and charging the phone. Stupid.
- Everything for that damn phone is custom. You have to buy a *special* hands-free, etc. That sucks.
- The battery life is moderate. Just got it, and after the first 24h (and I only made a couple calls), I have the low battery warning. It makes me wonder what it's going to be like a year from now. And as shown above, it sucks if you're trying to charge it in the car (no phone calls for you!).

(More customer reviews)I'm very disappointed in this phone for a couple of very serious usability issues - you can't tell if this phone is on or off - the outside window is really worthless. The outside glass is so shiny, whenever the backlight is off you can't see anything in the window. Do you use your phone to tell the time - too bad, can't see it. Want to see signal strength - sorry, can't see it. Want to see anything in the window in outdoor light, sorry. It really is pretty worthless.
Camera is OK, not great. Performance seems good. Features are ok, although I miss being able to program top level top keys - they are always Shortcuts and Menus.
Size is very nice, fits great in hand when calling. Keypad is really pretty good for texting. The predictive text input is better than earlier Motorola phones.
The problem is that with all the choices T-Mobile has right now, I'm not sure there is a much better phone. The RIZR has many of the same issues as the KRZR - external display pretty worthless with the backlight off. None of the Samsungs seem to get very good reviews. Nokia 6133 is ok, but seems a bit flimsy.
So, I'll live with this for the next two years, but I'll certainly miss being able to check signal and time at a quick glance.
UPDATE: I've had this phone for six months now, and I feel a little better about it. I still really hate the fact that the front screen is worthless, but the phone has held up really well, and the keyboard is pretty easy to text with. A hint: get screen protectors. This really solves the fingerprint problem you can read about in other reviews.

I did a lot of research on phones that offered what I wanted at a reasonable price yet maintaining at least a 4 out of 5 star rating. If you want alot of the bells and whistles, then this phone is for you. I'm Krazy about this phone. The ergonomics is fabulous!
The glitches that I've had were:
a. having to contact AT&T since I couldn't get on the web and send/receive pictures. Tech. support was able to rectify the problem within 1 1/2 hours.
b. they do not offer an extended battery for unlocked GSM cell phones. Why Motorola? It is good to have a spare battery just in case of an emergency.
You may want to also purchase the body glove case for the phone. If you do, you'll be quite pleased.
With its large memory storage, removable memory card, camera, speakerphone, call clarity, mp3 player, and more ... I'll hold onto this phone for years to come. Way to go Motorola!

The only thing you need to worry about buying this phone from Amazon is that it may come from another country. This means that an American adapter is included for the foreign plug and the language is in British English, which is not a big deal but odd for people used to Personalize instead of personalise. The phone is extremely shiny because it is made of polished metal and glass. Glass is an odd material for a mobile phone, but looks nice considering how fragile it is. The screen color and resolution are also very nice. Call quality is decent. All in all a 9 out of ten for looks and 8 out of ten for quality.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this from Amazon via Hassle-Free Cell on Monday and had the phone Friday using standard shipping. It was new and even had a fresh battery (manufacture date 8/2008); although manufactured for SE Asia the default language was English and everything works great. I liked my old Razr V3 but it was a little bulky; I loved my moto Pebl but it bit the dust after a nasty fall. The K1 combines the best of both those phones, plus adds a music player. It has a nice solid feel with a rubberized back and a very crisp, high-contrast display like the Pebl and unlike the Razr. One of the things I like about Motorola phones is that accessories using mini-USB work for all their phones, as far as I know. This includes Phone Tools software, stereo earbuds, chargers, etc. so I didn't have to buy all that stuff over again. Call volume and quality is very good and the music player sounds great, although it is a bit quirky and limited and doesn't have external music player control buttons like the CDMA version. The player doesn't recognize a lot of the MP3s I loaded on a 2 gig card, but maybe I just need to wipe it and try again. Like the other Motos I mentioned, the soft keys can be programmed so that there is ready to access to the things I frequently use, like the calendar and alarms. In picking a phone I didn't really care about the voice recognition feature, but it works so well that I use it all the time now. I don't have or need a data plan, so I can't speak to the browser feature, which is no doubt very primitive compared to a smart phone. Overall this an excellent phone for calling, and at a very reasonable price.

The phone has great reception, the sound quality & volumn are very good, the menus are very easy to get around,it fits your face well (not too short as many phones now are) and operating the phone is simple. This phone is clearly evident of Motorola's evolution in the cell-phone industry. By the way, you can customize the "soft-keys" to be whatever you want them to be. Likewise, you can customize the menus to appear as you would like. They have really thought of the user and have made this phone very User Friendly as well. It seems that the majority of the people I talk to aren't as interested in "whistles & bells" as much as they just want a plain old GOOD phone. This is it! However, if you want more, you can load your MP3 music on to it, you can use the calendar, you can take a picture, and if you are really adventurous, you can access the internet, and also retreive your email! By the way, this phone is capable of taking advantage of the Cingular/AT&T EDGE network which gives you 'faster than usual' internet. I highly recommend this Good Looking, Well Working phone.

(More customer reviews)I bought this phone because the design and the sound quality. Before purchasing this phone, I used to have Motorola L7 SLVR which I was very dissapointed with the sound quality. SLVR looked good but KRZR is much better. And obviously KRZR is superior than RAZR.
Pros:
- Excellent Voice quality for incoming and outgoing calls.
- Excellent battery life.
- Excellent mp3 stereo sound.
- Excellent pictures.
- Excellent design. It's an eye candy.
- Easily obtained from amazon.com or walmart retail store for only $99 with new or upgrade service plan.
- You can check email from Yahoo or Hotmail for free.
- Works with any bluetooth headset.
Cons:
- Only for people who have smaller fingers.
- Finger magnet. It's almost impossible not to have your fingerprints on the phone.

I like the phone a lot. It has some features I have to have. One is a USB charger. Others are a good speakerphone and bluetooth capability. It is also a slim design. While it fits in my pocket ok, the glass faceplate has broken four times on three of these phones (I have an unlocked GSM phone I use in Europe). You can buy new faceplates for a couple of bucks on eBay. If you buy this phone, go ahead and order a couple so that you have them.
Now, if you keep it in a leather pouch, the faceplate will survive longer. My current phone has not lost one yet, but I can see one corner is coming up. I tried gluing these on with epoxy. It doesn't work.
Aside from this one hassle. I love the phone. I'm about to buy one for my brother, but I will be ordering at least four glass replacement fronts, just so I won't have to wait if one breaks. They cost about $5 for two and are shipped from China, so it take a couple of weeks to get them in. Hence the advance purchase.
NOTE THE GSM phone is slightly different from the Verizon version. the GSM phone is narrower. Both are beautiful phones. They look elegant and people who see mine are impressed with it.
Pros: Sleek sexy looks. USB power, camera, speakerphone, and Bluetooth. It also has MP3 capability. I don't use it for that.
Negatives: Glass front breaks frequently.

Con: The accompanying software is massively buggy. Reception is very poor with this phone. It drains the battery quite quickly. Audio quality is not wonderful. For the price, this phone is not a good bargain. Good luck ever getting this phone to reliably connect to a computer. Half of the time it refuses to let you dial a number and call. Sometimes it just gives up and displays a white screen for no apparent reason. It is very prone to dropping calls. The connection monitor will drop from three bars to zero for no apparent reason.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Pink Satin Razr v3 back in August `06. I upgraded from a Nokia 3595 to this lovely little piece of technology. This was a careful buy as I read every possible kind of feedback on the Motorola Razr from many different sites. At best, the reviews were mixed from other users/critics. But for me, this phone is working out great. I'm going to touch on a few points (negative and positive) about this phone.
What Amazon doesn't add in their product information is that this was something manufactured overseas for use in Europe and China by the looks of it. What tells me this? The charger that was manufactured for non-american voltage as well as the advertisement slips and instruction booklets in the product's box that are in both english and chinese characters. I immediately went into panic mode when I saw the charger's plug but, noticed the little white US adapter which is nothing more then a piece you hook onto the prongs that have the correct voltage plug to fit into your outlet at home.
And what I haven't been able to note in any reviews for this phone is that if you're buying this unlocked like I did, the only compatible providers are T-Mobile and Cingular since they use SIM cards with the GSM network. I'm sure there are others internationally but, these are the only american providers I know of. As for the SIM card in your current phone, just slide it out and slip it into your new phone. Just make sure to copy your phonebook to your SIM card before doing so. You may have to tweak the network settings to make sure they are compatible and functioning correctly. Your mobile phone provider should appear on the screen once you've finished.
The cons with this phone:
-When porting your phonebook over from another phone, the Razr breaks down each number into an individual entry. So even though you may have had 3 phone numbers for your husband or Mom in one efficient entry, this phone's does not have that organizational feature. On the flip side of this, you can put the specific icon next to the entry in the phonebook like the little mobile phone, house, office, etc.
-It's easy to get the large screen and flat keypad greasy from the oils in your skin. I find that it's enough just to wipe it off with the corner of your shirt gently should it get cruddy.
-The flat keypad could be annoying for people with thick, large fingers. I personally have no trouble with this.
-No MP3 player. Or any other fancy bells and whistles for that matter. Honestly, I don't think this is bad since you can buy a nice MP3 player from Apple or one of the other manufacturers that have decent space for thousands of songs rather then what you are limited to with a cell phone. I'm not a big fan of "all in one" gadgets since it tends to degrade quality.
Pros:
-It's quite aesthetically pleasing and sleek, no matter what color you purchase.
-The camera. It's not a fantastic camera, so if you're a photographer by trade you will know it is awful by professional, digital standards. But if you're like me, you just use it to take impromptu silly snapshots of friends, things, pets, etc.
-Volume. Seriously, I do not know how people find issues with the audio. My hearing is rather questionable but, I can hear my callers unless their provider's coverage is less then great. Any calls made from a normal phone are also sharp and clearly audible. And the Ringing Volume is a lot louder then my Nokia ever was so I'm satisfied. You have to bear in mind that a provider's area of coverage (or lack there of) will effect your phone call and how well you can hear. It's not always the mobile phone. I think people make the mistake of where they put the receiver of this phone since it is very small. And if you don't have it in the right spot at your ear, you will hardly hear a word.
-Price. The unlocked models have become reasonably priced. So if you have wanted one of these, now is the time to buy one.
-Bluetooth Technology. End of story.
On a side note, I just purchased the H500 bluetooth head set in magenta since it seems close enough to the shade for me.
