(More customer reviews)This is a very lightweight phone. It is small. The color user interface is really nice. I like the '5-Faves' thing. It is a circle of big dots on the screen that you can rotate around by clicking it, which are your 5 friends that you call the most. Nice feature, because you don't have to scroll through your phone book. I think T-Mobile markets more to the youth market, and I think they will like this feature a lot. I like the user-friendliness of this phone with T-Mobile. The best thing to me is that this is a GSM tri-band phone, so I can use it when on business trips to Germany. I was impressed by both this phone, and T-Mobile. The phone has some nice features, like calendar, and even a tip-calculator, which I think is a great feature. You type in the check amount and it automatically calculates the 15 % tip. Nice touch. It seems so far to have decent battery life. There is a voice notes thing, but I haven't figured out exactly how to use it. Overall, this is a very nice phone, with just enough "bells and whistles".

(More customer reviews)This is my second blackberry. This model is significantly better than the previous model. It has a much brighter screen, a lighted keypad, bluetooth, improved firmware etc. The best thing about blackberries is BES software that provides seamless connectivity to the my corporate Microsft Exchange based outlook software. It provides bi-directional updates between Exchange and the blackberry. No need to do explicit syncing anymore. Its ability to view email attachments is very useful. One essential thing that is missing is a speakerphone. While travelling, this is indispensible as I can check all the emails, without having to boot up my laptop and finding a wi-fi hotspot. Works fine in europe and asia. Other things I wish they add are an mp3 player, a mpeg-4 video player, a gps device and a wifi voip phone. Since the technology to do this already exists, hopefully the next version of blackberry would fill these holes. I need to reduce the number of tech gadgets I carry around.

I got this for free when I added the line, and it works well. Great resolution on the screen with decent button spacing and speaker phone. No camera or bells and whistles that a business phone does need, and great battery life, a plus. This got me to like LG so much, I got the 5300 for my wife when her other contract came due. Check this out, a very basic phone, good for kids, business line, or people who like to keep things simple like me.

Sony Ericsson TM506 Phone, Black/Chrome/Amber (T-Mobile) Review

(More customer reviews)I have only had my phone for a little over a week (new T-mobile service). I have found the phone to be easy to navigate and customize. Call clarity is excellent. Display is beautiful (bright, vivid colors). I am waiting on my data cable to arrive, so haven't tried the music player yet. However I have bluetoothed files back and forth with my kids (a new experience for me) - which is my temp way around not having the data cable. Battery life is so-so. My Katana (Sprint service) seemed to go a little longer between charges. However, I have been using the phone heavily as I test it out; under normal circumstances my phone has fair to moderate use (primarily texting).
To give you an idea of the types of phones I have been accustomed to, my previous phones are an old Nokia bar phone (I don't even remember the model #), followed by a Motorola clamshell phone (think it was a V190), followed by the Sprint Katana (I really liked this phone).
I would agree with others that there is often an irritating delay when accessing menus (and even on opening the phone up). Sometimes it is very fast - other times takes several seconds (long enough for you to wonder if you really pushed the button or in the case of opening up the phone - whether the phone is even powered on). I almost exchanged this phone for another one simply because of this irritation. However, I didn't have another phone I liked from T-mobile in the $50 and under range - and couldn't justify spending $149 or more for the phones I would have considered. For my intended uses of this phone - it has all the features I want and the sometimes lag doesn't affect what I do. No phone is perfect - and I decided this would be the one feature that I don't like on this phone.
Pros:
1. Phone feels nice in hand, not to big or small
2. Call clarity is great
3. Brilliant looking display (bright and vivid colors)
4. Easy to customize, easy to navigate
5. Love the fact that I can type as long of a text message as I want - and the phone simply breaks them apart for me when it sends (as opposed to me having to create/send multiple messages).
6. Loud ringers, easy to hear.
7. Like the option to see my email through t-mail - without incurring a data charge (counts as text messaging). That said, it can be slow to look at the emails - and since I would rather answer on my computer - I probably won't use this.
Cons:
1. Menu lag time (on my phone, not always present, and when it is present - it is in varying degrees)
2. No backlight for cover or screen (the light is either on or it is off - and it is not possible to alter this). The light does start dimming before it goes off - so if you are looking at something - you can then just hit the toggle key to keep in on another 15 or 20 seconds.
3. Would have preferred a window on the front of the phone, but instead there is a small retangular window that displays the time (or a message - such as letting you know you have a new text message).
4. Wish there were some type of notification on the phone for missed messages/calls (my Katana had a small light that would occasionally flash).
For me the pros outweight the cons. As I said, there is no perfect phone - so it is a matter of deciding what things you can live with (and without). If it weren't for the menu lag, this phone would be perfect for me.

Samsung U340 Phone (Verizon Wireless) Review

(More customer reviews)If you're looking for a phone that should be used as just that -- a phone, then you've found the right product. I didn't purchase this phone myself but my mother had gone out and bought it for me instead because I wasn't up to leaving the house that day.
Still, the reception is great. I have not had any dropped calls whatsoever and the sound is clear. In fact, it can be a little loud for me.
The ringtones aren't the best but they're not the worst either. In fact, a few of them are pretty nice melodies.
The wallpapers it come with however are a different story. Don't particularly like them. I do, however like the color themes it offers: Red, Blue, and Black. I've always hated the usual red color of themes in other Verizon phones so I'm pleased to see that these themes work and get rid of all the red.
The camera takes EXTREMELY clear and crisp pictures that beats the Razor V3 my younger sister has. In fact, she can never get clear pictures on her phone and insists I send her the pictures from my phone to her. In fact, as I mentioned, the wallpapers were not exactly appealing to me so I took pictures of my Desktop Wallpapers on my computer and used those as my Phone wallpaper. The pictures really ARE crisp and clear and they look as if the phone had come with the wallpapers.
The only downside is battery life. But that's not much of a problem.
If you're looking for a decent phone in which it's purpose is to be just that -- a phone, then you've come to the right place. This is the phone for you. If you're looking to play movies, listen to music, and whatnot, then this is NOT the phone for you. This is a phone for basic needs. In fact, I don't see the point in listening to music and watching videos on a PHONE. We have the PSP or MP3 players for that. Why use a phone?

(More customer reviews)I bought this phone because the design and the sound quality. Before purchasing this phone, I used to have Motorola L7 SLVR which I was very dissapointed with the sound quality. SLVR looked good but KRZR is much better. And obviously KRZR is superior than RAZR.

- Works with any bluetooth headset.
Cons:
- Only for people who have smaller fingers.
- Finger magnet. It's almost impossible not to have your fingerprints on the phone.

(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these phones with a family plan. I have had nothing but trouble from the start. The batteries won't hold a charge, the call guard will not shut off so any roaming calls are not able to be answered. The phone continuously says that it is in roaming even when at home. I have to pull the battery and restart the phone to get it to change to sprint service. I have tried to speak to Samsung, the phone is supposed to have a one year warranty and I got no where with them. After a 2 hour phone call they told me they were sending a RMA, that was 2 months ago and I still have not received it even with follow up calls. In general the phones are pretty much worthless and Samsung's customer service isn't any better!! One of them has even developed a battery leak.

If you're getting a plan consider getting something that you know you'll like, but make sure you get a good deal on it. One more thing, there's a problem with the reminder because the icon doesn't go away and the buttons suck for texting.
