Virgin CYCLOPS by Kyocera - Cellular phone - CDMA2000 1X - folder (flip) - Virgin Mobile

I've owned Virgin Mobile for my last 3 phones. I even have their oldest model in use (my son). The Cyclops is a great addition to the line and is an affordable camera phone as well. One of the biggest complaints of Virgin users in the past was the low ring tone. I used to have to set my phone on "high and vibrate" just to hear it. That's definitely been fixed. The phone has a great range for volume settings. I could also transfer my phone number and BALANCE when I purchased this phone. That was welcome surprise, especially since these don't come with any contract. Because I use my phone so little, it actually costs me about $7 a month when I 'top up'. In addition, the Cyclops phone has free evenings and weekends. Wow..what a bargain! I really recommend this phone to just about everyone, especially those with kids. It's a great first phone at a great price. The Virgin line also comes with a pre-paid bag to send in your old phone for recycling. I've had great customer service, btw...even on Labor Day.

Kyocera Marbl Prepaid Phone (Virgin Mobile) Review

Kyocera Marbl Prepaid Phone (Virgin Mobile)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I tried to upgrade my teen's ancient kyocera (so old you have to extend the external antenna!) to the Marbl. My teen rarely uses his phone, but it gets the job done and "never" needs charging. I charged the new Marbl and left it unused and closed overnight and in the morning the battery was low and the phone could not be used. I thought about exchanging the phone until I saw all the CNET reviews complaining about lousy battery life. I returned the Marbl and will wait till something better comes along.

Kyocera X-tc Prepaid Phone (Virgin Mobile) Review

Kyocera X-tc Prepaid Phone (Virgin Mobile)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have to say, after owning the Wildcard for 1 1/2 years(and oh boy, did I suffer), I am thoroughly impressed by the XTC.
The XTC has a crisp, large screen. The resolution is marvelous, it takes very nice pictures in medium to bright light, and the fonts, program design is very attractive. You can set it to three different themes- the black/red Virgin Mobile color combo, white, or black. I use the black and it looks so amazing.
The keyboard takes some getting used to, but after inputting all of my contacts from previous Wildcard phone, I am loving the keyboard layout. I love how the "back" key is at the right bottom corner. The keys are decent sized, easy to press, and the keys are really responsive. Plus the design looks very elegant and functional.
The sound quality is also MUCH better than the Wildcard. In fact, I'd like to say that I am absolutely pleased with the earpiece sound quality and volume, and the speakerphone volume and sound clarity. I loaded a couple hundred songs onto the micro SD card, which I popped into the XTC, and playing back the music was actually very clear and pleasant, even when I playback heavy rock songs.
Overall I find the XTC to be very functional, slim, well-designed, and my only fears now are my fingerprints smearing the glossy screen or accidentally dropping the phone because I've been using the phone so often.

Kyocera KX2 Koi Phone (Verizon Wireless) Review

Kyocera KX2 Koi Phone (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After owning a motorola t720, i don't think I'll ever buy anything else with the motorola name. It had horrible battery life and it was completely full of glitches. This phone is a huge upgrade and the swivel design has caught on since other companies are now making phones that look exactly like this Kyocera(like the Sony Ericcson swivel.) Here are the pros and cons
Pros:
Good battery life(Make sure you have a screensaver activated)
Great menus
Huge Screen
Ability to answer and make calls while phone is closed
You don't have to swivel it open to answer!
Voice dialing
speakerphone
Good price if you buy with service
Cons:
1.2 megapixel Camera not as good as some of the newer phones
I wish it could swivel in both directionsI've had it for a year and I haven't got any scratches on the screen and no dust inside the screen like my old motorola,
and I've dropped it 3 times.

The elegant, swiveling design of the Kyocera KX2 is enough to turn heads, but the potent technology inside is enough to turn you into a believer in the power of wireless technology. With a megapixel camera, video recording capabilities and support for Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web services, the KX2 is a top phone with some of the best features on the market.
Design The elegantly simple KX2 features a unique swivel design that allows you to see the large, 260,000-color, 132 x 176 screen at all times. Simply swivel the keypad open to reveal a five-way selection button, number pad, and quick selection buttons. The megapixel camera (1280 x 960) and flash are housed on the rear of the phone behind a protective sliding cover, while an up/down toggle for quick menu navigation is located on the left side. A 2.5mm headset jack is provided for handsfree talking. An AC charging port is placed on the bottom of the phone.
Calling Features The KX2's speakerphone makes it easy to converse without touching the handset-- a big plus for car users. Enhanced voice dialing supports voice-to-digit dialing and name recognition for speedy dialing of up to 40 contacts. The KX2s voice recognition software supports voice commands from any user, not just a pre-programmed user's voice, and many of the phone's features can be controlled by voice.
The KX2's 16 MB of internal memory can be used to hold up to 200 contacts for quick access to email addresses and phone numbers. The phone lets you easily assign up to 200 pictures to your most common callers. In addition to vibrating alerts, the phone supports polyphonic ringtones, a number of which come preloaded on the phone. More ringtones can be downloaded from Verizon's Mobile Web service. The KX2's GPS location technology pinpoints your exact location when you dial 911. Messaging, Internet and Tools The KX2 is a robust mobile messaging and Internet tool. The KX2's support for multimedia messaging means that text, photos, video and audio can be sent with ease (Verizon messaging charges apply). When used in combination with the phone's built-in camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. Verizon's Get It Now wireless download service is also fully compatible with the KX2. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads and digital photo-sharing tools using the Get It Now service.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the KX2 including a voice memo recorder with 60 seconds of voice memo capacity, a calculator with tip calculation, a calendar and an alarm clock.
Imaging and Entertainment Perhaps the most compelling feature of the KX2 is its powerful megapixel still and video camera. In addition to a flash, the camera features a 5x digital zoom, a self-timer, multi-frame shooting capability and white balance functions. The video camera can capture clips as long as 15 seconds in MPEG-4 format. The phone's built-in 16 MB of memory lets you store up to 40 megapixel photos (1280 x 960).
The KX2 ships with a number of wallpapers and screensavers, plus a simple graphic editor that lets you make your own designs. More are available via the Get It Now service. The KX2 is BREW enabled, meaning it supports games written on the BREW platform. Additional games are also available via the Get It Now service.
Vital Statistics The Kyocera KX2 weighs 4.02 ounces and measures 3.94 x 1.97 x .98 inches. Kyocera K323 Phone (Verizon Wireless) Review

Kyocera K323 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

This phone absolutely, positively sucks. The camera doesn't work well, the memory is very low and think about it, it doesn't look that cool anyway. If you're getting a plan consider getting something that you know you'll like, but make sure you get a good deal on it. One more thing, there's a problem with the reminder because the icon doesn't go away and the buttons suck for texting.
