Sony Ericsson G900i Unlocked Triband 5.0 MP PDA Phone (Red) Review

Sony Ericsson G900i Unlocked Triband 5.0 MP PDA Phone (Red)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The G900 is a worthy successor to the Sony Ericsson P1i. It fact, its is every bit as good and even better than the Sony Ericsson Walkman Flagship W960i.
Though it uses the same Symbian UIQ3 platform as the P1i, the user interface has been polished with the addition of easy to use home screen panels. You can add panels for different applications like messaging, music player, application shortcuts, tasks and calender. These home screen panels make the phone much more user friendly than the P1i and the W960i.
The G900 also has a much improved media manager for your pictures, movies, and music files. The media application would be familiar to people who use the PSP and the PS3. It has the feel and looks like the media crossbar that Sony uses in its Playstation line.
The G900 also has a 5 mega pixel camera with a picture light. The light can also be used as a bright flash light which can be handy in an emergency situation. The pictures taken by the camera can be a little washed out and lack the vibrant colors of some better 5MP camera phones like the Nokia N95.
It has a traditional candy bar form factor. It is much slimmer and smaller than the P1i and the W960i. This makes it a lot more user friendly and more pocketable. Its size combined with its easy to use user interface makes this phone attractive to people who want smart phone capabilities but don't want to deal more complex to use phones. Simply put, this is the best smart phone that Sony Ericsson has made to date...until the Xperia X1 is released at least. :)
Pros:
-Great touchscreen. The screen is bright and vivid.
-Very slim and light for a smart phone with so many features.
-Easier to use UIQ3 interface with the addition of panels
-Excellent media manager and music player
-Five megapixel camera with innovative touch focus
-Excellent connectivity with bluetooth and WIFI and GPRS
Cons:
-Does not support EDGE or US 3G networks (Supports UMTS 2100 for European 3G)
-Though it takes 5MP pictures, the pictures are not as vibrant as other 5MP camera phones
-Lack of built in GPS
-Base package does not have any memory stick included
-The Opera web browser could be better and does not support flash

Sony Ericsson W508 Tri-band Cell Phone - Unlocked Review

Sony Ericsson W508 Tri-band Cell Phone - Unlocked
Average Reviews:

I bought this about a week ago from Amazon, excellent cellphone is all I can say. I considered the Z550a I was using before a masterpiece, but the W508a is even better. The phone has a slick design and it's very lightweight and low profile. The Z550a was slightly bulky in comparison.
I get no signal problems and battery lasts for about 5 days with normal use. I have a Sony Ericsson HBHDS980 Stereo Bluetooth Headset that goes with it. With music heavy streaming I can use it for a whole day before it needs recharge.
The headset is feature rich and I have mostly explored the music features and they all work really well. The SensMe feature is just awesome because I don't always feel like selecting 30 to 40 music tracks to listen, with SensMe the player does it for me according to my mood. The phone has superb voice quality and can ring loudly.
The only complain is the external display doesn't show the clock permanently like the Z550 did. I wish I didn't had to open it to look at the clock. Perhaps a feature coming with a new firmware. Another minor complaint is that the vibration is rather weak, again compared to the Z550a. But I can still feel the phone ringing, I'll have to see if I can feel the phone ringing on my pocket when in a loud place.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Unlocked GSM Smartphone with 8 MP Camera, Android OS, Touch Screen, Wi-Fi and gps navigation--International Version with No Warranty (Black) Review

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Unlocked GSM Smartphone with 8 MP Camera, Android OS, Touch Screen, Wi-Fi and gps navigation--International Version with No Warranty (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
1. The real phone model is x10i (which I guess "i" stand for "international" version)
2. After received, I install Sony Erricson PC Companion Software which will allow me to upgrade to Android 2.1 update 1
3. Phone look nice, compact (compare to other phone same class); however the back cover made of plastic, which makes it look cheap!!!.
4. Screen protector also included (even x10i screen is anti-scratch)
5. Phone works as I expected, pretty big screen, vivid color. 8.1M camera with smile detection, and other features seem nice to have.
6. Take me a while to familiar with phone behavior, but once I get used to it, I like it.
7. Virtual keyboard is nice in landscape mode, but difficult to use in portrait mode.
8. If turn on WiFi, battery will be drained for a day, (but the same for Droid 2, Droid X). Turn off Wifi, it may last for 2 days. Set screen brightness to lowest level may extent more, and you can adjust its brightness by using widgets short cut.
9. So far, I will happy with this phone!
10. Without warranty, it might be potential problem!!!
Update on 06/16/11:
- Phone is still working :).
- Another firmware update couple months ago which allow to do "multitouch" feature on X10i now. I think it is a big reason many guys don't want to buy X10 before.
- Camera doesn't have flash (but a small LED), that will make you disappointed in dark place.

Sony Ericsson Z550a Unlocked Cell Phone with Camera, Media Player, M2 Memory Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty (Sterling Black) Review

Sony Ericsson Z550a Unlocked Cell Phone with Camera, Media Player, M2 Memory Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty (Sterling Black)

This phone provides intuitive interface and functionality that more expensive phones lack. With my 2GB memory (about $30) I can store lots of pictures, movies, and music to enjoy when I'm waiting in line or taking a walk. I'll agree that it's been difficult to open when driving, but the sound quality has always been quite good. Since switching one of my phone lines to Verizon and getting their highly rated LG 8350, I can say that the Sony Ericsson z550a is in many ways superior.

Sony Ericsson W580i Unlocked Quadband Phone (Black) Review

Sony Ericsson W580i Unlocked Quadband Phone (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is one awesome little phone. First of all the screen is the brightest and most detailed I have found on any phone. In the store it is so bright it just screams at you. I have found that reducing the brightness to 70% is more than adequate. If you have trouble reading a phone in direct sunlight, fear no more. As for features, there are just too many to mention. I first learned about it from the Toyota website as I just bought a Prius. It is one of the VERY few phones that will integrate seamlessly with the car. It can even upload its phone book via Bluetooth to the car. Most phones (except smart phones/PDA's) will not. They are also 3 times the price. It has a great sounding MP3 player. It is stereo Bluetooth, FM radio...I could go on and on. There are some great themes free online so you can customize away. If there was one gripe it would be that it doesn't come with an M2 memory card which it needs if you are going to load up on music and photos. I can't complain though as this phone is very affordable. Some complaints I have heard are that the number keys are too small. Well, I'm 6'2" and about 280lbs. (not a small guy) and I don't have any problem getting my fingers to work the buttons. The other complaint I have heard about is battery life. Well I have talked and talked and played with this thing for 3 days now, and the battery is still more than half. I'm not sure what people think is good, but after my RAZR...pffft...this thing is great. My techie coworkers were amazed by the display and all agreed that it was unbelievably bright. I would recommend this jewel to anyone who wants a great phone that has a lot of cool features. It blows away the Samsung SCH-a737 and the LG Shine. Go to a local AT&T store and play with one. Then buy one at whatever outlet suits you.

Sony Ericsson G705 Unlocked GSM Cell Phone - Quad-band, Edge, 3.2 Megapixel Camera, WAP 2.0, Bluetooth, Black/gold Review

Sony Ericsson G705 Unlocked GSM Cell Phone - Quad-band, Edge, 3.2 Megapixel Camera, WAP 2.0, Bluetooth, Black/gold

I'm returning this piece of garbage after having given it a good 3-week trial. A short list of major complaints:
1) The exposed buttons cause it to turn on by itself with the slightest pressure. Constantly finding a dead battery as a result.
2) The software is frustratingly non-intuitive...downright nonsensical in many places.
3) Lousy antenna: I can't get a signal in my home. Every other phone I've had got a signal.
It's amazing how Sony has gone from my favorite brand to my least-favorite brand so quickly. Samsung is eating their lunch in TVs, Sony laptop computers are complete disasters, and now they can't even make a phone.

This was one of the "show devices" at JavaOne meaning you could purchase an unlocked phone at a discount - due to it's extensive Java support. It's not a T-Mobile officially supported phone so it took a chat with Sony Ericsson support (yes, real live tech support for a phone!) to get all the SMS, web and data modem features working on T-Mobile. But they do work really well. This is a camera with a phone, FM radio, MP3, video, etc added rather than the (usual) other way round. With this phone I don't need to also carry a small P&S camera on trips. I can take macros of interesting products, photos of 8.5x11 documents, etc, and the sharpness and color is quite excellent. The FM radio is great. You can also record phone calls. The Java programming support of this phone is exceptional - it has a 32-bit graphics accelerator and Java APIs for anything imaginable. Sure there are some minor things I wish were different (time from call ending to the phone locking is too short, and I don't see how to change that) but overall I am very happy with it. It's a great all-in-one FM radio, camera, music player, phone which does all of those very well. I use the data modem capability frequently and at 115 kbaud it doesn't set the world on fire, but it's very usable for working on the go almost anywhere there is a GPRS signal. It does all these things better than an iPhone (which actually doesn't offer all of them) in my opinion, though the iPhone wins on its slick user interface and larger LCD. But I will take my TMobile price over the iPhone ATT-only plans any day. Bluetooth headset works well. Also the PC software for syncing, backup etc works well once you get the latest update from the Sony Ericsson web site.

Sony Ericsson's K850i Cyber-shot phone makes it a breeze to stay in close communication with your contacts as well as snap brilliant photos on the go. It has a 5-megapixel autofocus lens and a Xenon flash for low-light conditions, and it's also loaded with a bevy of photographic features including multi-shot and video capture. The quad-band K850i GSM/EDGE phone is also ready to run on 3G networks here in the US (tri-band 850/1900/2100 MHz UMTS/HSDPA), enabling fast downloads and streaming multimedia while on the go. It also includes a stellar digital audio player, FM radio, Bluetooth stereo music streaming, Memory Stick Micro (M2) expansion, and up to 9 hours of talk time.
Unlocked Phone This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides quad-band connectivity (850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider. This phone comes with a one-year warranty from a third party provider.
Phone Features The K850i has a 2.2-inch TFT screen with a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and support for 256K colors. It features a blue backlit five-way navigation pad built into the numeric keypad, and the gunmetal gray body is accented by a blue stripe running down the side. The phone has a 40 MB memory (which can be expanded using optional Memory Stick Micro media), and it can store up to 1000 contact entries. The phone will also display the 30 most recent dialed/received/missed calls.
An automatic lens cover keeps the 5-megapixel lens on the back of the phone protected, and it includes a xenon flash for a burst of high-intensity light at just the right moment. An image stabilizer compensates for those small movements, reducing the chance that your photo comes out blurred. The BestPic function gives you nine chances to capture the precise moment you want. As well as your shot, the phones take four images as you press the button, and another four afterwards. Pick the one you want, trash the rest. Select the Photo Fix function to improve pictures that you think can be better. In a one-click operation, brightness, light and contrast are adjusted to give you the best possible picture. Other photographic features include a 16x digital zoom, red-eye reduction, picture blogging capabilities, and video capture (up to QVGA at 30 fps).
The digital audio player is compatible with a wide variety of formats, including MP3, AAC/AAC+, and WMA. Additionally, you can play MPEG4 and 3GPP videos. With the TrackID service, you can identify any song that you can hear by just recording a snippet of sound using the microphone. After sending the file for recognition, you'll have the name, artist and album sent to your phone. It also includes a built-in FM radio with RDS, which displays the name of the currently playing song (when tuned to compatible radio stations).
This phone provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity with EDR (enhanced data rate), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and audio/video remote control. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server.
If you're looking for a mobile productivity partner, the K850i has you covered. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, and sound via MMS messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging possibilities. T9 text entry, a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
The phone also ships with a built-in email client with support for POP3 and IMAP4 protocols, while the included Access NetFront Web Browser allows you to surf full HTML web sites. The K850i also supports RSS feeds, allowing you to use your phone to view up-to-the-minute news and other content from selected Web sites and blogs. Just subscribe to the feed and let it come to you.
Other features include:
Speakerphone
Polyphonic ringtones (72-chord), vibrating alert
Multi-language support: English, Spanish, French
Motion sensor for automatic rotation of UI
PictBridge direct printing from phone over USB
Airplane mode allows you to safely use the non-wireless functions of a phone (music, games, or organizer functions) on an airplane during flight or in other situations where you need to turn off your cellular connection.
PIM tools: Calendar, tasks, notes, timer, alarm clock, calculator
Bluetooth profiles: A2DP (stereo music streaming), AVRC (remote control), HFP (hands-free car kits), HSP (communication headsets), BIP (for sending images to another device), DUN (dial-up networking), FTP (file transfer), HID (support for mice or joysticks), OPP (object push for business cards, calendar items, and pictures), PAN (personal area networking), PBA (transfer contacts)

Nokia Mirage 2605 Phone, Dark Gray (Verizon Wireless) Review

Nokia Mirage 2605 Phone, Dark Gray (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My first Amazon review. Let me say this. I've owned a couple of Blackberrys in the past, and although I enjoyed them I am a mac user which means I could never fully enjoy all the features like the music player.
When the Iphone came along I bought it as soon as I could (Leaving Tmoble to do so), and I loved it. Still do actually. I don't understand how many people say things like "the iphone sucks". Really? What does it take to please some people? Some flaws, sure, but finally there was a phone that not only was designed FOR mac users, but also raised the bar for all the other companies. Many of the coolest features on other phones are a response to the iphone.
With ATT my phone bills went up on average 40%, and the customer care was horrible. They suffered a bit from the "you're on contract so what you gonna do" syndrome. That coupled with the fact that as a Mac User there weren't a ton of smart phone options, so I was stuck.
Then I found the Curve 8900!
With all the New Blackberry's there is finally some real competition, which is a good thing for Mac users. It finally seems like other companies realized that MAC people are some of the largest and most loyal consumers of electronics, and it doesn't take much to make us feel included.I couldn't use the CD that came with the phone on my computer, but I just hopped on the web and did some downloads and now I can use all the features on my Macbook, including itunes syncing and photos. Which is great because the camera is awesome. The only thing is you need the newest OS on your mac to use the software from the website, but if you don't have that you can also download Pocketmac, which works pretty well.
I find the browser works great, and if you don't like it you can download another if you want. Opera mini is pretty good too. I just like being able to choose for myself, which is something I couldn't do on the Iphone. The Iphone is still probably the best web surfing phone on the market in my opinion, but the Curve is still great! I mean there comes a point when you may as well just crack the Laptop if you are going to do hardcore surfing. That being said, I still go to all the same websites and it is just as fast as my iphone was. The smaller screen means WAY better battery life. I still charge it every day, but this phone has made it two days on pretty heavy use, and you can actually change the battery if you needed to which is a real plus.
Expandable memory is a huge plus! I've got 16 Gb in mine now.
Blackberry just launched there own App store, that is much like the one found on the iphone, so now I have all the same things I had before on my iphone like Pandora, and Shazam.
Going back to Tmobile was an easy choice too. My wife is with them, and the customer care has been great. And the plan they have me and my wife on is cheep! I actually unlocked my iphone and gave it to her and now she is running it on Tmobile much cheaper, and because I had the 2g Iphone I actually think the data is faster on Tmobile. Also the Curve switches to make calls over WiFi (on certain plans) saving you minutes. That feature is so seamless you wont notice the switch.
Yeah, yeah. Some people say things like, 3g is a must for me. But let me say this. Lots of people are whiners who don't know what they are talking about. The Curve has a fast processor, and great WiFi capability, and it is super fast. Call quality is great.
It's also less fragile then the iphone. Touch screens are glass and I actually smashed my first iphone by dropping it from two feet. YIKES!
The Curve also feels more professional to me. I can do Word documents on it, and although I can still play games and surf the web, I do less of the time wasting I did on the Iphone. You know what I mean? The usless surfing like "Hey, whats the tempurature in Australia?
All up I am very happy with the switch. If I had to pick a con, I'd say that the locking on the phone is a bit of a pain. It can become unlocked in your pocket, but that was solved by putting a password on my phone.I just hate picking cons because these phones are so great now a days!
I also loved the Iphone, but the price and AT&T was getting to me! A little competition keeps them all working harder to for us the consumer.

It also comes with several organizer tools, including a calendar and notepad, and Nokia's Calendar Preview feature helps the you keep track of your appointments by displaying them on the standby screen.
Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone. This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.0), and includes profiles for communication headset, and handsfree car kits.
The VGA camera shoots only still photos, and it offers three resolution options (640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 160 x 120 pixels). It also features white balance and brightness controls, self timer, five color effects, and three shutter sounds. The phone includes a dedicated camera key on the keypad for easy access.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Unlocked GSM Smartphone with 8 MP Camera, Android OS, Touch Screen, Wi-Fi and GPS--International Version with No Warranty (White) Review

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Unlocked GSM Smartphone with 8 MP Camera, Android OS, Touch Screen, Wi-Fi and GPS--International Version with No Warranty (White)

Two days with this phone and I'm totally loving it, what a breath of fresh air having used an iPhone for over 2 years.
Pros:
1. Awesome screen, can't be compared with the "retina display" but seriously it doesn't make much difference. BUT, I seriously hope SE starts packing more pixels (they have not in the Arc model). Pix and Videos look awesome on this screen. After all, size does matter!
2. Phone came with Android 2.1 and I like it better than iPhone 4.2.1. For some reason, I think it excites the geek in me. The iOS is a bit too user-friendly that I almost feel like an idiot using it :)
3. The best part is the "i" in the phone, I can use it almost anywhere in the world - both voice and data. The HSDPA supports 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100 so the 3G will work in many european and asian countries as well as in the US.
4. The size is so right that it fits very well in your hands.
Cons:
1. No front-facing camera (not in the Arc model either, SE wake up!!)
2. No retina display
3. Not many quality accessories available.
4. In-call volume and battery life could use improvements, but not a show stopper.
Get this phone is you like freedom, universal (almost) usage and saving $$$ (or whatever your currenty is!).
Cheers!

Sony Ericsson Z750 Phone, Purple (AT&T) Review

Sony Ericsson Z750 Phone, Purple (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
[EDIT]
Amazon won't let me change my star rating for this review, just the text so here's my change ... DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! What a piece of junk this turned out to be! It randomly shuts itself off and then, most of the time, turns itself back on. There's no rhyme or reason to when it does this either. I can be on the phone, have just ended a long call, have just ended a short call, just starting a call or haven't used the phone for hours. Doesn't matter if calls are outgoing or incoming. When I called AT&T about this problem they told me it must be due to something I did, such as "expose the phone to humidity." I was told that if I used the phone outside on a humid day, then the problem was caused by me and not covered by warranty. I have also met other Z750a owners that have this same problem.
[/EDIT]
Original review:
I was extremely happy to find a purple phone, loved the specs and ordered it immediately. I *love* this phone! The battery life does not, in any way, live up to the specs and has to be recharged more often than I prefer. I'd like to be able to change which options are listed when you open the phone [ie Calls, MEdia Net and Menu] and I'd like a quicker way to access my ring tone files. The external display is really neat, but impossible to read in sun light. Other that those four things, I really love this phone! The phone doesn't come with a lot of ring tones and only has two preloaded themes, but as soon as I got my USB cable, I loaded up what I wanted and it's great. The voice quality is fantastic and I love that it has the option for ring with vibrate. Out of all the phones I've had over the past 14 years, this is the best. Plus, the Sony Ericsson online chat support was really great when I had an issue with the software. I suggest getting the USB cord, car charger and extra wall charger off Amazon instead of from Sony Ericsson or AT&T. I got all three in a package off Amazon for $7.50 total with shipping, compared to $20 each from Sony Ericsson and almost $40 each from AT&T. 3-piece Value Combo Pack of Sony Ericsson K750, W800, D750, Z520, W600i, W550i, Z525, W300i, Z530i, W810 Includes: Vehicle Cigarette Lighter Power Charger with Ic Chip + USB Data Cable + Home Wall Travel Plug in Ac Charger

Bought this locally ($250, black) as replacement to a junk phone that I bought which they called Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. Yes, this is not a touchscreen phone, and no fancy features. It's plain and simple; quad band, media player, and 5MP camera. But it lives up to the Sony Ericsson reputation that I've been 'spoiled' to; simple functional phone, doesn't freeze, nice features and competitively priced.
Comment on the camera, you might want to play around the settings and not rely on the phone's default, in order to get good pics...but I think that's a given.

Sony Ericsson C905i Unlocked Cell Phone with 8 MP Camera, Wi-Fi, International 3G, GPS, M2 Memory Slot--International Version with No U.S. Warranty (Night Black) Review

Sony Ericsson C905i Unlocked Cell Phone with 8 MP Camera, Wi-Fi, International 3G, GPS, M2 Memory Slot--International Version with No U.S. Warranty (Night Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The C905 is the latest addition to the Sony Ericsson Cybershot range. Somewhat bulky but not too heavy, the black plastic chassis is coated with a rubber finish to give you a better grip of the phone. The spring loaded sliding mechanism and the brushed metal sliding camera lens cover are impressive, but the strangely shaped battery cover along with the bolted-on sim holder makes removing the (u)sim card a bit of a hassle.
The interface of the C905 hasn't evolved much from its predecessors (C902, K850, etc), so if you're a seasoned Sony Ericsson user, you would have no problem using this phone straight out of the box.
The first thing you'd notice about this phone is the fact it's both GPS and WIFI enabled (B&G only). Although nothing new, these two features have been missing from most high-end SE phones released between 2007-2008, whereas you can find them on most of Nokia's N-Series and E-Series phones. The GPS feature uses Google Map, which requires connection to the internet to download the required map to the phone. Therefore, you might want to sign up for an unlimited data plan with your service provider if you're going to use this feature heavily.
I'm not sure at this point whether you can download the map through the phone's WIFI receiver, but it seems that the phone will connect to the internet automatically the second you turn on the google map application. There's an option to turn off the GPS receiver, but no option to turn off the internet connection.
The multimedia features of the C905 are not worth mentioning, mostly because they are the same as those you'd find on C902, K850 and K810. The only thing worth mentioning here is the fact that SE has increased the resolution of the built-in camera to a whopping 8.1 megapixel, which generates picture files that are around 2 Megabyte each. The internal available memory of the phone is only around 106 Megabyte, so if you snap alot of photographs on the go, you may want to buy additional memory cards to store them. The Sony Ericsson website claims that the phone will handle memory stick micro cards up to 8GB in size, and my Sandisk 8GB card seems to work well with the phone.
The pictures look good on the phone screen but tend to be a little noisy at full view even when shooting under daylight conditions, but is generally good enough to produce very sharp A3 prints. The xenon flash produces bright and rich colours but is a little weak (according to SE you can only shoot a subject from about four steps away), but is more than adequate to beat those models that come with LED flashes.
The supplied battery is amazingly small but has a power rating of 930mah, which is more than ample for 3 hours worth of calls.
The C905, is it a phone with a built-in camera or is it a pocket-sized camera with a quadband transceiver? One thing's for sure, it's definately an upgrade over the C902 (minus the touch screen feature) and the K850 as it takes impromptu photography to a whole new level with the large 8.1 mp sensor.

Sony Ericsson W350 Phone, Ice Blue (AT&T) Review

Sony Ericsson W350 Phone, Ice Blue (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The W350 is very stylish. I can finally have a phone that is truly small enough to put in the pocket of my jeans. The very first thing I worry is scratching the screen like my iPod Nano. Surprisingly, the screen is scratch free after months of putting and pulling out of my jeans. The phone is small and light in weight but felt very solid.
This phone is not easy to use. The number keys are really big and easy to press. However, they have to make the navigation keys very small to make the number keys big. The navigation keys are too small to use. I need to hold the phone with my left hand and use my finger nail of my right hand to press the navigation keys. Plus I cannot flip the phone open with one hand. It cannot be used with just one hand like the other candy bar phones. The W350 is really a flip phone; not a candy bar phone.
Sound quality is as good as any other Sony Ericsson. The speakerphone is loud. The screen is very clear to see even under direct sunlight. The ringer is really loud. That is good.
Compared to my W810i, the W350 really lacks of many useful functions.
The W350 does not have Voice Command. This is very bad without VC because the W350 is too small to use while driving.
The W350 has a really lousy camera. No video. No flashlight. I love the flashlight from my W810.
This is really a flip phone. There is no Voice Command. So, I cannot use the bluetooth to dial anything. I have to flip it open (with two hands. I can't flip it open with one hand) and punch the numbers before I can make any call. The worst part is that after I dial the number, I cannot close the flap right away. If I close the flap before it is ringing, the phone will hang up the call. This is not safe to use the W350 while driving.
The Walkman Player is not easy to use. I can move from menu 1 to menu 2 and menu 3 up to the playlist to play the song. Once I get to the playlist, I cannot go back to menu 3 or menu 2 or menu 1. There is no back function. I can use the forward function to go back to menu 1. But once I am in menu 1, I cannot go back to the current playlist anymore. I have to wait for the phone to go to standby. When I press a key to wake up the phone, it then will come back to the current playlist. Another thing is that I cannot select an entire album to put in the playlist. I have to select song by song. It is just so confusing to use. So, keep your iPod.
The W350 doesn't come with any accessory either. No memory card, no headphone. no car charger. no CD. no nothing. My W810i comes with all of these except the memory card.
To sum it up, the W350 is a just a ok phone.

Featuring for the first time from Sony Ericsson a flip phone that allows you to control your music at your fingertips, the W350 is also the thinnest flip phone offered by AT&T. With a built-in Walkman 2.0 player (controlled through dedicated buttons on the flip cover) and integrated FM radio, you'll be able to listen to your favorite tunes and radio programs wherever you roam. It's also compatible with downloads from AT&T Mobile Music. Other features include Bluetooth for handsfree communication and stereo music streaming, 1.3-megapixel camera/camcorder, Memory Stick Micro (M2) expansion, full web browser with RSS reader, access to personal email and instant messaging, and up to 7 hours of talk time.
AT&T Service This phone operates on GSM 850/1800/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"), with availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. This third-generation, high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.
The phone has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more. The AT&T Mobile Music platform includes the ability to sideload music with Napster and eMusic with the built-in Pocket Tunes Deluxe application, listen to live radio with XM Radio Mobile, discover new songs with MusicID and more. You can also access XM Radio Mobile, which provides 25 of the best XM Radio channels, featuring commercial-free rock, hip-hop, country, jazz and more (additional monthly fee; free three-day trial included).
It's also pre-loaded with AT&T's Mobile Banking application, which is compatible with accounts from banks including Wachovia, SunTrust, Synovus, and BancorpSouth. Mobile Banking from AT&T affords you the flexibility to stay on top of your banking needs while you're on the move, enabling you to check your account balance, securely transfer funds between your eligible accounts, view and pay bills, and review your transaction history. AT&T customers pay no additional fee to access mobile banking and, because the application resides on the handset, the service is optimized to reduce the number of new page views necessary to complete a transaction. Minimal data usage charges apply and vary based on individual use.

The exterior of the flip cover includes music playback keys, while under the flip you'll find an alpha-numeric keypad, five-way navigation button, send/end keys, and two soft keys. It has a 2-inch LCD screen with a 176 x 220-pixel resolution and support for 262 colors. The W350's Walkman 2.0 player can easily be accessed and operated even without opening its flip cover. With Walkman on Top, key MP3 functions including Play, Pause and Scroll are outside the phone's flip cover so you can use it just like you would a standalone MP3 player. The W350 makes it straightforward to transfer music onto your phone. Whether your favorite tracks are on a CD or on your computer, all you need to do with the phone's intuitive Media Manager software is drag your tracks from your computer onto your phone via a USB cable.
This Walkman phone features MegaBass enhancement for added depth of sound, a flight mode that lets you keep listening to tunes with the phone's network connectivity turned off, and the PlayNow feature that enables you to download new music tones directly to the phone. It's compatible with MP3 and AAC/AAC+/eAAC+ formats. The phone also includes a built-in FM radio with RDS, which displays the name of the currently playing song (when tuned to compatible radio stations).
Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, and sound via MMS messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging possibilities. The phone also ships with a built-in email client with support for POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP protocols, while the included Access NetFront Web browser allows you to surf full HTML web sites.
