Sturdy and reliable but seems to be a little slow at times. I really like the keyboard once I got used to it.

Offering a slim, lightweight clamshell design, the Samsung A437 is a great choice for users looking for an easy-to-use and affordable cell phone that's outfitted with some very helpful extras. Weighing just 2.9 ounces, the svelte A437 measures 0.63 inches thick and is easily pocketable. It includes a number of handy features that will enhance your mobile lifestyle, including Bluetooth wireless connectivity for hands-free headsets, an integrated VGA-quality still camera, and an external display that shows who's calling as well as the current time. This quad-band phone communicates over GSM/GPRS networks and offers global voice and data roaming in over 125 countries. This model comes in gold, and it's also available in slate gray and gold.
AT&T Service This phone operates on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"), with availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. This third-generation, high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.
It's also pre-loaded with AT&T's Mobile Banking application, which is compatible with accounts from banks including Wachovia, SunTrust, Synovus, and BancorpSouth. Mobile Banking from AT&T affords you the flexibility to stay on top of your banking needs while you're on the move, enabling you to check your account balance, securely transfer funds between your eligible accounts, view and pay bills, and review your transaction history. AT&T customers pay no additional fee to access mobile banking and, because the application resides on the handset, the service is optimized to reduce the number of new page views necessary to complete a transaction. Minimal data usage charges apply and vary based on individual use.
The phone has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more.
Phone Features The A437 sports an interior 2-inch color LCD that has a 128 x 160-pixel resolution and 65,000 colors. The internal phone book can hold up to 1000 entries (in addition to 250 numbers saved to the SIM card)--with up to 5 numerical entries plus email address per contact--and it supports up to 40 digits and 16 characters. Other dialing features include 8 one-touch numbers for easy access to your most frequent contacts and the last 30 incoming/outgoing/missed calls. In addition to voice calls, text messaging, and MMS capability, you can also connect via Instant Messaging (IM) services such as Windows Live, Yahoo!, and AOL.
Because the A437 is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets can be configured with the phone for total hands-free operation; it also includes a headset jack for wired earpieces.
