I saw this phone and was impressed with his sleek look. At the same time I was looking for a phone (as a gift) both for my sister and her husband and my MOM to replace the damaged phones they currently had. Well I went a head and researched the phone...Loved what I found in my research. So I went ahead and make my purchase with confidence....and I'm very pleased so far.

im 19 yr old male from texas.
Got this phone for Christmas for 400$.
If you are thinking about this phone but cant decide, over others, consider this. i previously owned the original iphone. great phone, nonetheless, but decided to sell it and go for a nokia. Most people dont realize it, but this nokia really can do just about anything (and more) than that iphone your thinking about. (save the apps on the iphone) But i truly am more happy now with my Nokia. its such a solid, substantial piece of technology, in every way i can think of, nokia made this thing of quality materials. not fragile at all.
So what about the monthly internet (data plan) ?
Well, with the iphone get ready to pay 30$ a month for data alone! that is a rough estimate of 720$ over a span of a two year contract with at&t.
Why not get this Nokia, sign up for at&t's "smartphone data plan" (also known as MEdia net thing) i pay literally 15$ a month flat rate for unlimited data. it takes no genius to realize thats about 360$ savings over 24 months. (that number covers the actual cost of the phone it self!)
Do not be swayed away either by the e71's business appeal. I am a college kid and very into electronics, and i can honestly say this phone has everything a person would need (business/just for fun/practical uses) and seriously has technology a year ahead of its time. in otherwords, i could see myself using this phone in two years and still be more than pleased with it.
Buy also a micro SD card. i bought an 8gb card on here for around 20$ these plug into the phone and allow you to save your media on the phone. i.e. music, videos, pictures ect. this gives me a wonderful media device thats easily comparable to any ipod.
one setback on the phone is the 2.5mm headphone jack. Standard is 3.5mm so your favorite headphones wont plug into the phone without an adaptor. i bought one on dealextreme.com for literally 1.26$ (no tax, and no shipping) the adaptor is a 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female adaptor, and works wonderful.
Nokia did things right with this device.
the iphone strays away from the fundamentals of what a cell phone is really about: making/ recieving calls. Nokia sticks to simplicity and makes using the phone for calls/texts VERY straightforward and easy.
you wont be dissapointed, and at this price its really a deal that can save you a good chunk of change in the future.

No additional licenses are needed for extra countries, regions, or services like traffic information or city guides. Data charges from network operators may apply.

Voice Guidance and Traffic Information Turn-by-turn, voice guided navigation comes free for both drivers and pedestrians. For pedestrians, this includes shortcuts through parks and pedestrian-only zones for over 100 cities around the world as well as 6,000 3D landmarks in over 200 cities to help you find exactly where you are.

Unique Hybrid Technology Ovi Maps is built on an advanced technology called hybrid vector maps. Vector maps are high quality but less data intensive and allow you to continue to navigate even if you lose your network connection. This means that maps downloaded or updated across a network connection are about half the size of bulky bitmaps used by other mobile map providers. The hybrid technology ensures that, unlike other providers, any downloaded map data is stored on the device for future use.

No Network Connection Required When Navigating Avoid expensive, battery-draining network connections with Nokia's unique hybrid technology. Maps can be pre-loaded onto your Nokia smartphone so you can set Ovi Maps to offline mode, saving battery power, and the navigation system will still work. This is particularly useful for those worried about data connection costs when travelling abroad, or when you are travelling through areas with little or no network coverage.

Best Global Coverage You take your mobile with you wherever you go in the world so, as standard, voice guided navigation for both pedestrians and drivers is available for 74 countries in 46 different languages and there are maps for over 180 countries. Motorola PEBL U6 Unlocked Phone with Camera, and Bluetooth--International Version with No Warranty (Orange) Review

Motorola PEBL U6 Unlocked Phone with Camera, and Bluetooth--International Version with No Warranty (Orange)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the Orange PEBL (unlocked). I absolutely love the phone and always receive compliments on it. However, after 6 months of usage the handset volume just quit. I can only use the phone in speaker mode. So, basically the phone is now a glorified walkie talkie. After some online investigation, this seems to be a problem with unlocked PEBL phones. Apparently the issue can be corrected by "reflashing the firmware". Great, if you're tech savvy and don't mind downloading suspicious software.
Since the unlocked phones are not covered by warranty, I'd suggest just buying the phone through the carrier. It's worth it even if you have to pay more by not upgrading your plan. The amount you'd pay through the carrier would be about the same as buying it unlocked anyway.
In fact, if you're a T-mobile subscriber, phones purchased through T-mobile are still covered under a 2-year warranty, even if you don't purchase a plan. Hope this helps.

Nokia Intrigue 7205 Phone, Black/Pink (Verizon Wireless) Review

Nokia Intrigue 7205 Phone, Black/Pink (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was really excited to get this phone because a) it looked cool; b) it had the hi-tech display features on the outside of the hard shell; and c) it was green.
Unfortunately, the sound on the phone is horrible - very tinny on both speakerphone and regular listening mode. The menu system is difficult to use and always defaults back to the home screen, so you have to click through multiple times to get to anyplace. The menu items are not very clear to understand, and do not do what they imply. I have used cell phones from different vendors before, including Verizon many years ago, and did not have these difficulties!!
I wish I could say better things but I cannot. The service fee is also overpriced compared to Tmobile, from whom I just switched. I had to work OT and did not get a chance to use my phone before the return period expired.
Hopefully my review will decide you!! I should have gone with one of their higher-end phones, or at least tried them out at the store.
Also, two minor but annoying items. The first one is the phone has a MINI-mini USB charger instead of the standard mini-USB. In other words I need to buy all new chargers!
The second one is the cover to the super small USB will be easy to tear off - it will be the first thing that gets broken on this phone!
Do not get this phone - if you really want Verizon, go to the store and make them let you listen & play with it!

This version of the Intrigue comes with a pink keypad with a gradient shading and clover-shaped directional keypad. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera with flash, MicroSD memory expansion (up to 8 GB), Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree devices and stereo music streaming, digital audio player with external touch-sensitive music controls, access to mobile email and instant messaging, and up to 4 hours of talk time.
Verizon Wireless Service With support for the EV-DO high-speed data standard, you'll enjoy fast access to the Internet and Verizon Wireless multimedia services (additional charges applicable), with average download speeds ranging from 400 to 700 Kbps and peak rates up to 2 Mbps. (Learn more about where EV-DO coverage is offered.) The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. V Cast Music offers nearly 2 million songs, with more being added all the time.
In addition to the V Cast Music service, this phone is also compatible with the Verizon Wireless V CAST Music with Rhapsody, which enables you to access this exclusive digital music service for RealNetworks and for MTV Networks. V CAST Music with Rhapsody delivers unlimited monthly access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. In addition, customers who purchase music over-the-air are able to download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.
With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access the Verizon Wireless VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps. And the Chaperone service lets you easily locate your loved ones from your Verizon Wireless phone or PC in real time. After defining a zone, such as an area designating a school or summer camp, you'll be sent an alert via text message when the Chaperone handset enters or leaves the zone.
Getting on the Internet is easy using the Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. The Verizon Wireless Media Center wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Media Center service.
Phone Features The Nokia 7205 Intrigue's unique external display blends into its smooth black exterior. When an incoming call or text is received, the display instantly illuminates, and you can also view incoming text messages, play music from the phone's digital audio player, and snooze the alarm clock--all from the external display.
The large, bright internal 2.2-inch display has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and support for 262K colors. It also includes a nature-inspired design setting called Habitat mode, exclusively designed by Nokia and only available with Verizon Wireless service. When the Habitat mode is activated, contacts are presented in chronological order, providing an engaging and intuitive way for customers to track, visualize and connect with their contacts. You can also customize each contact with a photo or icon.
The phone can store up to 500 contacts in the internal phonebook, and each entry can store multiple phone numbers. It also supports caller groups as well as pairing numbers with a photo or a specific ringtone. The phone has an internal 150 MB memory, which can be expanded via optional MicroSD memory cards (up to 8 GB in size). Other phone features include speaker-independent voice commands, a bilingual interface (in English and Spanish), and 25 built-in ringtones.
Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone (with dedicated key). This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.0), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and file transfer. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server (additional charges or subscription applicable).
The 2-megapixel camera offers five resolution options (1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 160 x 120 pixels) and features an integrated flash and 4x digital zoom. Other features include a dedicated camera/video key, portrait/landscape capture mode, self timer, and white balance settings (auto, sunny, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent, and darkness). Additionally, the camera can capture video clips with audio.
The digital audio player offers compatibility for MP3, WMA and unprotected AAC/AAC+ formats, and the phone includes external touch-senstive music controls on the top of the clamshell face. You can create and manage playlists right on the phone and the library can be organized by artist, genre and album. This phone also has a music-only mode (or flight mode) where the cellular radio is turned off, enabling you to still play music.
You'll be able to keep up with your personal email with built-in connections to MSN Hotmail, AOL, and Yahoo! accounts. In addition to SMS text and MMS multimedia messaging, you can also access popular instant messaging (IM) services (AIM, MSN, Yahoo!). T9 predictive text entry technology makes it easier for entering text while composing email and text messages.

Sony Ericsson W580i Unlocked GSM Cell Phone Review

Sony Ericsson W580i Unlocked GSM Cell Phone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this phone for 2 1/2 years. Over all I really like this phone and would buy it again. But, there are some faults that many might not like.
Likes - size (smaller than most smart phones and fits in my front pocket), It's mostly just a phone (with an MP3 player and camera) I don't need or want a smart phone, it's lasted 2 1/2 years and going.
Dislikes - the charger connector and head phone connector (I have had many issues making sure the Sony connector is connected and charging, need to clean the terminal with a small brush and jiggle and press it into place. You cannot use a standard headphone to listen to music. Keys might be small for some if you text a lot. Uses a Sony micro SD card, not the standard micro SD.
Overall - I will buy another one because it works for my needs, and lasted way beyond the other cell phones in my household.

LG ME770 Unlocked Phone with 2 MP Camera and Media Player--International Version with No Warranty (Silver) Review

LG ME770 Unlocked Phone with 2 MP Camera and Media Player--International Version with No Warranty (Silver)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The phone I received was in fact the ME770, which LG seems to think never existed. The phone was from Mexico, which I can tell based on the fact that the whole thing was set up for the major Mexican carrier MovieTel with the browser launch menu button being the Spanish word Emocion. Another thing is that despite what the review states and what other reviews have mentioned, this phone DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKER PHONE as stated in the description.
I decided to keep the phone even though this was the case. Here's why.
This phone is replacing my Motorola L6 phone. The ME770 is basically an upgrade of everything I loved about the L6 except the lack of speakerphone of course.
The good: 2mp camera is decent but slow. Still, colors are adequate and flash is ok. Has Edge browser capabilities. Nice screen for the price. TINY size, which I personally. The metal case feels nice in the hand, and is very attractive. Very good reception.
The bad: Again, No Speaker Phone. Unlike my old L6 the glass of this phone will scratch easily. Did not come with usb data cable. Uses priority LG adapter for charging and data.
This phone is great for people who want a small attractive but capable phone for not much money.

From its full stainless steel enclosure to its mirrored LCD screen that transforms into a high-quality color screen when the phone is activated, the candybar-style LG ME770 is set to capture the attention of mobile users who crave the perfect balance between design and technology. The super-slim design complements its high-tech functionality, which includes a 2.0-megapixel camera, tri-band GSM and EDGE data connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity with stereo music streaming, a 60 MB internal memory, and up to 2.5 hours of talk time.
This U.S. version of the unlocked LG Shine can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides tri-band connectivity (850 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.
Phone Features The LG Shine ME770 is entirely about fashion, convenience, and usability. The ultra-thin, stylish slider design always keeps the unobtrusive internal antenna safely tucked away--always protected from snags or breaking, while the protective and alluring properties of stainless steel add to the phone's durability and style. The 256K-color, 176 x 220 display is hidden when inactive, a key feature to save battery life, or when keeping a low profile is a must. The phone has an internal 65 MB memory that can store up to 1000 contact entries, and you can also view the 50 most recent dialed/received/missed calls.
The ME770 has a digital audio player that's compatible with MP3 and AAC music files. The integrated Bluetooth technology (version 1.2) allows handsfree communication with a compatible headset as well as the ability to exchange files with another Bluetooth compatible device. And, with the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones.
The phone's support for multimedia messaging means that text, photos, video, and audio can be sent with ease. When used in combination with the Shine's built-in camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. The built in MMS editor allows the user to create convenient messaging templates for fast MMS messages, as well as the usual ability to create SMS messaging templates. And to make messaging even easier on the Shine, the phone comes stock with built-in T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets--a definite plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
When you need to check your email, or browse the Web for the nearest movie theatre and showtimes, use the phone's advanced WAP 2.0 browser. Find what you need fast over the supported GPRS transfer protocol. And with the phone's built-in document viewer you can view and transport .ppt, .doc, .pdf, .xls, and .txt files. A number of handy software tools are bundled with the Shine including a calendar, an alarm clock, a calculator, a stopwatch timer, a digital note pad, and a vibrating alert alarm.
The MicroSD memory card slot will ensure that you will always have space for more. Connect the ME770 to a PC using the supplied USB cable and it will become a mass storage device. Drag and drop files such as music, photos, videos and more straight to the phone and you can carry them with you wherever you go. No software is required for the PC--simply plug and play. Other features include:
2.0-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, flash, and video capture
Polyphonic real music ringtones (compatible with MP3 format)
Speakerphone, voice memo
Picture ID, ring ID
Streaming video formats supported: 3GPP, MPEG, H.263, Real Video
Web browser (WAP 2.0/xHTML)

Vital Statistics The LG ME770 weighs 3.2 ounces and measures 4.1 x 1.8 x 0.4 inches. Its 800 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 2.5 hours of talk time, and up to 200 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies.

I ordered this phone. It arrived promptly, but according to the literature with the phone it is NOT A QUAD BAND.
It might be a reasonable dual band phone, but as it is not what I was looking for I have not even inserted the battery and plan to return the phone.

I was looking for a phone to replace my Nokia 3100 which has been a diehard. After reading the first and only review i took a chance and could not be happier. What made it even better was my wife's excitement about the phone. She is not very exciteable. So it was a real plus when she told me that she really like the phone. I was just looking for a good basic reliable phone, and got many more features than expected. I knew that it had a music player, but the 5 mp camera was icing on the cake. If you're willing to spend more, I'm sure there are better phones. But thus far me and my wife are very satisfied!

The English language lacks the words to describe this phone. I still cannot believe I paid money for this item. I have had it for 2 weeks now, and I have yet to complete a single call. My first mobile phone over 10 years ago had 10x the features and reliability. Not a single feature on this phone is user friendly, effective or even functional. This isn't even an option to fill the month long gap I have between phones.

Couldn't find a phone with Wi-Fi for under $200 in The Bahamas but this one is awesome. It is quick, light-weight and easy to use. I had an LG Cookie which was touch screen and the calibration seemed to be a bit off so I thought "Let me just stick to the old model $50 nokia that I got when I was back in high-school" Then I found THIS nokia! Same great brand with newer apps and features. I'm in love with my new phone

Nokia E5-00 Unlocked GSM Phone with Easy E-mail Setup, IM, QWERTY, 5 MP Camera, Ovi Store with Apps, and Free Ovi Maps Navigation (Black) Review

Nokia E5-00 Unlocked GSM Phone with Easy E-mail Setup, IM, QWERTY, 5 MP Camera, Ovi Store with Apps, and Free Ovi Maps Navigation (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been a loyal Nokia user since the 8860. They have just always been fun, straight forward and easy to use phones. The only thing Nokia lacks here in the USA is the customization options that the rest of the world enjoys on a daily basis. Most phones are locked down by carriers and rebranded with their own applications here in the US. This unlocked GSM capable Nokia makes that a thing of the past. Don't want to pay AT&T for an internet fee and a GPS navigation fee? Done. Want to delete whatever programs you wish from the phone? Done. Want to download apps that directly compete and are better than the ones AT&T or T-Mobile force you to use? Done.
Calls come through loud and clear on AT&T's network. I have full 3G coverage and have yet to drop a call. When using the internet away from a WiFi network, you get access to AT&T's speedy 3.5G network. 3.5G comes in very handy when using the free GPS turn by turn navigation. Yes, outside the US Nokia has been doing this for ages. It's the greedy US carriers that have blocked it all these years. Not anymore with an unlocked phone from Nokia, although you still need a data plan from your carrier. Battery life is great too, but that's expected from Nokia.
Messaging works great with easy access to received and sent texts, and the keyboard makes for speedy typing. Plus several of the keys have very handy shortcuts to commonly used features such as bluetooth, emoticons (smileys) , and a flashlight.
WiFi is a breeze to use. You can view networks in range and even set priority levels for which ones you prefer to use. The screen is a little small to be your go to surfing device, but it's more than competent for checking email, posting on facebook, and looking up sports scores.
The device also comes with a mobile version of Microsoft Office document reader. This is extremely handy for the mobile professional.
One other great thing about this unlocked phone is that you can listen to FM or internet radio. I have missed this feature since AT&T began locking their phones down around the time of the Cingular branded Nokia 6230 (my still going strong backup phone). Pair this with a 3.5mm headphone jack and the more than capable music player, and you have yourself a nice little music phone.
The only complaint I have with this phone is the cheaper TFT screen Nokia used to keep the cost down. This does cause the screen to become washed out in direct sunlight, but only from one side. It's weird, if you tilt the phone to the left, the screen stays bright, but when you tilt the phone to the right, the screen becomes washed out. With that said, I live in Denver where we get over 300 days of sun every year. I have yet to be in a situation where I could not read the screen. If its too dark you can simply change your theme to a brighter, more colorful one to help with visibility.Pros:
Rock solid construction
3G and 3.5G coverage
WiFi
FREE GPS TURN BY TURN NAVIGATION FOR LIFE
QWERTY keyboard with shortcuts
Flashlight
Install and delete apps
Fully customizable themes
Battery Life
Cons:
Micro-SD card is under the battery
S-60 Symbian has a higher learning curve
Screen not up to par with current smart phones

My Position enables you to find your current location easier and faster than ever.

Save your favorite places and routes, then synchronize them with your Ovi account over the air.

Lonely Planet and Michelin offer you dynamic access to the best and most relevant editorial travel content for over 1000 destinations. Discover the events happening nearby your location on the map or any place found via search.
Share your location on Facebook--where you are, what you are up to and finish with a photo.
No Hidden Costs
The new version of Ovi Maps comes with all the maps and high-end, car grade navigation features you need for free and is yours to keep for the life of the smartphone. No additional licenses needed for extra countries, regions or services like traffic information or city guides. Data charges from network operators may apply.
Voice Guidance and Traffic Information
Turn-by-turn, voice guided navigation comes free for both drivers and pedestrians. For drivers this includes lane assistance, traffic information, safety camera, and speed warnings. For pedestrians, this includes shortcuts through parks and pedestrian-only zones for over 100 cities around the world as well as 6,000 3D landmarks in over 200 cities to help you find exactly where you are.
Unique Hybrid Technology
Ovi Maps is built on an advanced technology called hybrid vector maps.
No Network Connection Required When Navigating
Avoid expensive, battery-draining network connections with Nokia's unique hybrid technology. Maps can be pre-loaded on to your Nokia smartphone so you can set Ovi Maps to offline mode, saving battery power, and the navigation system will still work. This is particularly useful for those worried about data connection costs when travelling abroad or when you are travelling through areas with little or no network coverage.
Best Global Coverage
You take your mobile with you wherever you go in the world so, as standard, voice guided navigation for both pedestrians and drivers is available for 74 countries in 46 different languages and there are maps for over 180 countries. This gives you the best maps with the largest global coverage for free.
