BUT I say that I still can't configure the MMS settings properly. I have called HTC and Tmobile and I can't get the proper help.....So I will have to sell and get another phone that is already configured because this is too much!

(More customer reviews)Received this phone April 2nd. Windows is not user friendly, battery life sucked but was manageable. Mid May (^ weeks of light use, no wifi and no bluetooth, very little internet, mainly email and phone use) the phone battery took a dive.
Tried new chargers new batteries and nothing worked.
Ran updates and cut everything off, still 4 hours without any use was about the best i was getting.
This was unacceptable.
To late to return, so contacted HTC as it was within warranty. Jump through hoops and may still have to pay. I'm selling it local and taking a loss to get rid of it and the accessories.
THIS IS NOT A PHONE TO GET, DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

WP7 is the sleekest, fastest and most sexy OS out. And this is coming from a person that's been using an Iphone for the last three years.
Until you've used a WP7 phone please don't pass judgement, as that would be an injustice to the handset & OS.
For me it's WP7 and onward. can't wait till the updates start coming in.

(More customer reviews)This one of the better windows phones out there on the market. With its thin profile and large 4in screen make this a first choice. I have had the HTC HD7 and Dell Venue Pro Windows phones for a few months and this is by far the best and a little faster than the other devices.
As for the mobile service, I've noticed that for T-mobile users, this version will not support 3G, you will have to find the T-mobile European version if you want 3G or 3G+ as for AT&T users, everything works fine but depends on the area you live in to get a 3G option on the device. Maybe there are some hacks that I need to discover to unlock that option of T-mobile.
The camera is on of the best with a ton of options and features to choose from and speakers are great and loud without any distortion or crackling. This will be my preferred windows phone until something better comes out.

(More customer reviews)I acquired the phone and soon I realized that is worst than a marriage contract with Microsoft. I previously had an Omnia II running Windows Mobile 6.1. I had installed my Bible Reader and Bible from OliveTree.com, Pocket Cad Viewer and FSecure Mobile Security. I could also synchronize my contacts from Outlook and I felt a complete integration with my desktop.
After having the new HTC Surround running Windows Phone 7 for about a day I ralized that none of the above actions could be done and any applications to be installed are to be done through Microsoft Market Place with limited offerings to my interests. I ended up giving the phone away to my son, who does not need any additional apps and handles his contacts through Windows Live

(More customer reviews)I got this phone about a month ago and I could not be more pleased. I moved from the dismal 6.5 version of Windows Mobile to this new WP7 Dell device and it is like going from an old VW beetle to a brand new Porsche. I would say this is arguable the best looking device of all Windows 7 phones. The pullout keyboard is nice for when you need to type longer emails. A few obervations:
Battery life: very good considering the device. Lasts easilly all day with browsing and calling. Only strange thing is if you completely drain the battery to the point the phone shuts itself down, if you plug it back in, the phone won't power up at all for about 5 minutes! so not good if you run out of battery and need to make a call immediately.
Screen: extremely bright, clear and sharp. Scratch resistant
Quality of construction: Very solid device. The sliding motion feels really good and solid. Shiny metal on the edges makes it stand out.
Camera: Lame. Only works well on bright daylight.
Voice quality: Very good. Easy to put on speaker phone. Buttons are very big and very easy to enter digits during calls for when using automated IVRs
Stability of device: I installed a bunch of junk on it when it was new and the phone was hanging pretty frequently. I eventually wiped it all out to start from scratch and have been careful with what I install and hav enot had a single hang in 2 weeks.
OS: Windows 7 is super nice on this phone. There are some very basic customizations that are missing but this makes the OS mroe simple so great for your wife or hubby if they are not good with this type of technology.

Lg E900 Windows 7 Black Unlocked 16GB HD CAMERA 5MP Optimus 7 Review

This phone is indeed unlocked, text and voice will work out of the box.
BUT 3G data will not work, in US, until you "Hack" it using the LG engineering utility to set it to the correct network.
Also it took me over a week of charge and discharge cycles before the battery was conditioned enough to hold a charge for more than 1 day.
Don't be alarmed if after the first charge it only lasts for 8 hrs.
Steps I preform to get 3G data to work (no thanks to the seller - useless. I was seriously about to return it to them and open a claim).
1.Enable wifi connection and connect to a router, make sure you can browse the web.
2.Go to the phone menu and dial ##634# and press call button
3.Wait few sec until 3min during the MFG application installation
4.In the main applications list menu look for and run MFG and enter the password: 277634#*# and press enter
5.Click 7 for Engineer Settings.
6.Then click 6 for Other Settings.
7.Select Set Network Profiles.
8.Find "_PROV_ATT_US_310_410.xml"
9.Select that one. Back out of the menus and reboot the LG Optimus 7. It will now even say ATT in the marketplace.
Pros:
- Great build quality.
- Nice display
- Great Value vs similar devices
- UI is very user friendly, great experience.
- Great reception.
- 3G+ compatible, I was able to get 3500KBPS download.
- Supports Netflix streaming over 3G!
- Voice commands and search work great. (i.e. "Dial Bob Mobile" will dial Bob's mobile number in your phonebook)
Cons:
- Battery only lasts about 2 days with active calling and data.
- Windows Phone 7 market place has not yet matured. Not many of the apps you are used too in other platforms are there.
- I hate the zune syncing software. Not very easy and is very buggy.
- Can't hear the ringtones when in a pocket or purse.
- Ringtones are not customizable.
- Outlook can only sync with GOOGLE calendars or an exchange server. No longer supports Active sync!
Overall, I'm happy with the phone and would buy again over other platforms.

Even though it is not what I ordered, the phone still works fantastic and I will probably keep it. It is T-mobile branded but works well on At&t network. Great smartphone and a great buy. If you are in the market for an unlocked smartphone this is a great choice for a decent price.
