(More customer reviews)This phone is very cute. It's very slim, which is nice. Good reception, so far no dropped calls (this depends on your network though). I have the pink. Doesn't have much protection to it if you were to drop it. It doesn't look there are many options for skins or cases out yet. I'd recommend insurance on your phone just in case it were to break.

The Sanyo Katana II mobile phone enhances the spirit of the original Katana with a sleeker shape, a radiant new pink fascination finish, and a host of refined features. It operates on Sprint's North American CDMA voice and Sprint Vision network, which provides Web access as well as email and text messaging capability. This flip phone also features a 21 MB memory--significantly increasing the capacity for games, ringtones, and applications from the original Katana--a VGA camera, Bluetooth connectivity for communication headsets, and optional GPS service.
The Sprint Vision network gives you the power to access Web sites, view your email, and send a variety of text and multimedia messages. Sprint Mobile Email enables access to email from popular providers simply by entering username and password with no downloads required. You can also access Web-based email from such services as AOL and Windows Live as well as chat on IM networks. The T9 predictive text entry technology is built into the unit, which makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets--a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
Measuring just 0.6 inches thin, the Katana II sports a bright 2-inch internal LCD that offers a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and 262K colors, which also features IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology for wide-angle viewing with superior brightness and contrast. (More customer reviews)While I love the phone, there are some issues with this phone that Sprint (or Palm) has not worked out yet. The biggest issue is that you cannot send text messages to people who are on Verizon or on t-Mobile. For some reason text messages are never received by people on those networks. Sprint is aware of this problem, but have no resolution in the near future. You are able to receive text messages from them however.

A lot of folks said it would never happen, but here it is: A Palm device running Windows Mobile software. This isn't just any device, either. It's the latest version of Palm's wildly popular Treo series of Smartphones. Everything that's great about the Treo hardware is here, plus all the power of Windows Mobile 5.0.
With the Treo 700wx, you can experience broadband-like download speeds using Sprint's EV-DO technology.Simply put, everything you need to do your work on the move, and at blazing speeds, has arrived.
Design Under the hood, the Treo 700wx features 128MB of RAM (60MB available for end user storage) and an Intel XScale 312MHz processor. The design retains the same basic form factor as the Treo 650 with a few changes. Aesthetically, the new Treo has more angular lines and a more professional-looking gray color. At 6 ounces, it's also slightly lighter than its predecessor. The button layout above the full QWERTY keyboard has been changed to accommodate the Windows Mobile 5.0 interface, and the screen sports 240 x 240 resolution.
Like the Treo 650, the top of the 700wx features an expansion card slot for SD, SDIO, and MMC memory and expansion cards, and get this: Unlike the 650, the 700wx supports the Palm Wi-Fi card. Up top there's also an infrared port for line of sight data transfers, as well as a handy switch for turning off the phone's ringer. Below the screen, a five-way navigator controls most of the phone's menus and operating system functions. The left side of the unit features a volume up/down toggle plus a handy user-customizable button that can be assigned to any phone or PDA function. The rear of the unit houses a loudspeaker, as well as the 1.3 megapixel camera unit. A touchscreen stylus can be tucked away on the right side of the phone. Meanwhile, a combined charging, data, and accessory attachment port, called the Palm "multi-connector" is housed on the bottom of the unit, as is a standard 2.5 mm stereo headset jack.
Calling and PDA FeaturesLike the Treo 650, the Treo 700wx's phone and PDA functions are designed to provide an integrated, seamless experience--only this time it's all handled by Windows Mobile software. The hallmark of the Windows Mobile experience is the "Today" screen that summarizes all the important information you need to make it through the day. Here you'll get message notification, upcoming appointments, dialing functions, and a Google Web searching all in one spot.
As a phone, the Treo 700wx features all the functionality folks expect from a handset, including a handsfree speakerphone, polyphonic ringtones (polyphonic MIDI, MP3, WAV and video ringtones are supported), a vibrate mode, and picture caller ID. Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile combines email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes into a single application that seamlessly integrates with the 700wx's phone functions. Meanwhile, headsets, car kits and other wireless peripherals can also be paired with the unit via Bluetooth (the Bluetooth 1.2 specification is supported).
Staying productive on the road is made possible by the Microsoft Office Mobile suite, which includes Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and PowerPoint Mobile. You also get Picsel PDF Viewer for viewing PDF document attachments, and the File Explorer application makes it easy to browse the files on your 700wx.
Messaging and InternetThe really big news about the 700wx is that it supports Sprint's EVDO mobile broadband service, allowing you to get DSL speeds wherever you have broadband data coverage. And what can you do with all that speed? Surf the Web faster than ever before using the bundled Internet Explorer application, or log into Pocket MSN and check your Hotmail, use MSN Messenger, or browse the MSN Mobile portal. Robust SMS and MMS functionality is built into the Windows Mobile interface, too.
One of the most important tools bundled with the 700wx is Microsoft ActiveSync, which allows you to quickly synchronize your device's tasks, calendars, email, and contacts with your desktop. You also get Exchange ActiveSync, an application that lets you synchronize data with an Exchange server. Syncing can be done via USB, or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
Imaging and EntertainmentAnother great feature of the 700wx is that it supports Windows Media playback right out of the box. With Windows Media Player 10, Palm users can finally play streaming and downloaded video and audio content in a variety of formats, even purchased music from "Plays For Sure" supporting stores. You can also keep your tunes loaded on a memory card and listen to stereo sound wherever you roam (requires an optional stereo headset adapter).
The Treo 700wx's built-in camera sees a bump in performance with the ability to take 1.3 megapixel (1280 x 1024) stills. The camera also features a 2x digital zoom, a self portrait mirror, and automatic light balancing. While the camera is great for taking stills, it can also function as a camcorder, allowing you to capture MPEG4 video to the unit's memory. An integrated media application organizes your captured photos and videos.
And last, but certainly not least, the Treo 700wx keeps the fun going when you've got some downtime with great games. Bubble Breaker and Solitaire ship with the handset, but more Windows Mobile games are available.

But it has been such a great phone I am not sure I want an upgrade on my phone at this point. They are always coming out with something new anyways. I like the simplicity of the phone. There are plenty of great features on it. Hard to pass it up. I would recommend it to my friends. Great pictures, sound, etc.....

(More customer reviews)Overall I am happy with the Red Razr that I gifted to my wife on Valentine's day. On the outside, it is the same as the black/grey Razr offered by Sprint and comes with the same features/shortcomings.
Positives:
- Gorgeous looking. The online pictures dont do justice to how the phone actually looks
- Decent 1.3 Megapixel camera
- Excellent call quality
- Good reception. The phone has been able to retain a good signal in areas where my previous Sprint cell phone would loose connection.
- Good and easy to use interface.
Negatives:
- Very very slow menus. Phone reacts a second or two after you hit the key.
- The microSD card is almost impossible to remove after you put it in. Required a pair of tweezers to pull mine out. I searched online - and looks like it is a common problem for the V3m(where as the V3c's dont have this issue).
- This being a brand new phone from Sprint - the latest version of Motorola Phone Tools(MPT) failed to recognize it. MPT continued to refuse to recognize it even after it downloaded the "latest" list of phones from the bvrp website. However installing Sprint PCS Business Connection software(allows u to use the phone as a modem) - installed the required drivers on my machine. I was then able to manually add(note: automatic detection still failed, despite driver being installed) the phone to MPT.

Sprint's Red RAZR V3m by Motorola was designed exclusively to support (Product) Red, an initiative founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness and money for the Global Fund, a program that helps fight AIDS in Africa. (Product) Red is an ultra hip way for you to help while taking advantage of Sprint PCS Wireless' exclusive Power Vision mobile Web content service. Other features include a microSD/TransFlash memory card slot, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth support, GPS capability, and more.
DesignThe RAZR V3m's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, fully-anodized aluminum construction. A large 176 x 220 color display with 65,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display caller ID pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The 1.3-megapixel camera lens is housed above this display. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control.
Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A charging port and USB data cable port is placed on the bottom of the phone. The RAZR V3m also features 30 MB of embedded memory for storing pictures, videos, and downloaded PCS Vision content. You can also expand your storage space with the phone's microSD/TransFlash memory card slot. Note that the phone does not have a 2.5mm headset jack, but a compatible stereo headset is included in the box.
Calling FeaturesThe RAZR V3m's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts while the phone's caller ID system allows you to assign pictures and specific ringtones to your most common callers.
