(More customer reviews)I just got this phone over the weekend. This is my first Touch Screen phone so I have nothing else to compare it to. It's very nice. Very pretty phone. I love the Berry color.
This phone has a virtual qwerty keyboard for texting. This is the #1 feature I had to have for a phone. It's very simple to use. I love that I can set my favorite song as the ring tone. MP3 player works great. I can assign a photo to a contact so a picture comes up when someone is calling. Very cute! You do not have to have a data plan for this phone. I only have a talk & text plan. Games are fun. Cheap to download.
My main complaint is when taking a photo, the photo is saved flipped to 90 degrees. You have to edit the photo to flip it around again and resave.
A suggestion, when putting new contacts into your phone, make sure you fix the settings to save contacts to your sim card before hand or it will only save to your phone.
I am a mom of two teenagers so I had to get a texting phone to communicate easier with them. I am not real cell phone saavy so I love that this phone is very user-friendly! Fits my needs wonderfully!

High-speed data connectivity via T-Mobile's 3G network: In addition to its quad-band GSM connectivity, this phone is also compatible with T-Mobile's UMTS/HSDPA 3G network, which operates on the 1700/2100 MHz AWS spectrum. This phone is designed to automatically connect to the best available network (3G or GSM/GPRS/EDGE) to provide faster data speeds when accessing the Web or downloading content from the T-Mobile Web2go content portal. T-Mobile is currently rolling out its 3G network, and it expects by year's end that its high-speed data network will be available in those cities where a majority of its subscribers currently use data services.
In areas where the 3G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the via T-Mobile's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"). This high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.

BlackBerry Curve 8330 Phone, Silver (Verizon Wireless) Review

(More customer reviews)This is my third Blackberry, it replaced a T-Mobile 8700g which replaced a T-Mobile 7230 before that.
Pros:
- Wireless broadband works well, easily connects to laptop via bluetooth and so far has been reliable with very good coverage (much better than T-Mobile)
- Seems physically well designed and well built, very good keyboard, smaller and easier to hold than the 8700 it replaced
- Mouse trackball makes for easy navigation
- Voice dialing good for bluetooth headset
- Improved Blackberry browser (although I still use Opera Mini most of the time)
Cons:
- High cost of service ($30/mo for Blackberry data plan plus ANOTHER $30/mo for laptop tethering)
- Locked GPS. The device has GPS built in but Verizon has "locked" it so that it cannot be used with Google Maps, photo geotagging, or any other third-party GPS program, because they want you to spend another $10 a month for the privilege of using THEIR GPS program.
- Poor quality camera
- No way to have the phone announce the caller/caller ID - so when I'm wearing my bluetooth headset I still have to dig the phone out to see who is calling
- Awkward delivery and registration. Amazon could not give me a straight answer on the unit's shipping/arrival dates. Verizon sent me a welcome email and invited me to register my online account, so I did, then at the end of the process they told me they'd just sent a text message to the phone that I must retreive with 24 hours to complete the process... which was impossible because I didn't have the phone yet!
