LG CG225 UNLOCKED Quad-Band GSM Cellphone with Camera Review

LG CG225 UNLOCKED Quad-Band GSM Cellphone with Camera
Average Reviews:

Thanks to Ken at HassleFreeCell for helping me pick the LG CG225. My original order was for the purchase of the Nokia 6030. Since I wasn't getting my network signal with my new Nokia 6030, Ken suggested that I purchased the LG CG225. I am very happy with his recommendation of the Lg Cg225. This QUADBAND GSM is a powerful little phone. I love the built-in VGA camera, the speaker phone, the phone's features, and the brightness of the display screen. The battery has to be charged more often as you use the built-in VGA camera.

HTC Sensation 4G, 8MP, Android 2.3, Capacitive Touchscreen, 1.2-GHz Dual-Core Unlocked World Smartphone US Version Review

HTC Sensation 4G, 8MP, Android 2.3, Capacitive Touchscreen, 1.2-GHz Dual-Core Unlocked World Smartphone US Version
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all, I would like to mention that I purchased the unlocked version because I do not live in the U.S. and I do not use any of the carriers available there (T-mobile, AT&T, etc), and regardless the service is GREAT! It is not surprising to me though. I pretty much expected it, considering the fact that I owned a HTC Touch Pro 2, and the service was awesome as well. My previous LG viewty phone would hardly ever get me through to the end of a call, I almost always had dropped calls with it. I would also like to mention that I also owned two nokias, a samsung, and a motorola. NONE can compare to my HTC Sensation. I feel rich just holding it and the HTC sense feature is so fun and efficient!
My Pros:
-Awesome GPS and Navigation system
-The clarity of the 8 MP camera is amazing, and its autofocus is to die for, it is so precise
-The internet speed is great!
-The vibrant screen!
-ANDROID OS is a plus!
-The blinking light to let me know I have a missed call, a new facebook message, and/or a new chat message
-The fact that I can incorporate ALL my emails into one window, and choose a default email address from which I can reply to all emails
- It just has so many options for me, expecially when it comes to editing files and I feel as if it is so easy to use for anyone that is not really tech-savvy.
- Honestly though, hands down, best phone ever!!! All my previous phones have either broken, and got tired of me over-using them, with this one, so far so good.
My Cons:
- The Battery Life can go by really quickly. I charged twice already for the day. I am a heavy user though, I check emails, and use social networks as well as take pictures/videos, edit work files and listen to the radio. I need to invest in a car charger.
- I wish there was a camera button on the side of the phone, so that one click and bam, I can take a picture. But it is not a major deal, and I don't really miss it as much. I guess when you're used to something, you tend to miss it for a while. with this phone, I have to click unlock, and drag and drop, then VOILA, the camera is on. A few extra steps that I feel might make me lose my camera moment. I don't know, I am still on the fence with this one.
- The memory... It comes with an SD card, but when there are no apps running, I have 467MB of used space and 91MB of free space, and I panic, because I need space to store my work documents, so again, I have to invest in some storage for this baby.
Regardless of my cons, I love this phone, and I am glad I got it. I was scared to purchase a phone that did not have a physical keyboard, this is my phone FULL touch screen phone, and it was a choice between HTC desire Z and this, and the keyboard is so accurate, even with me typing fast, so no regrets. Love it!

Sprint HTC Evo 4g Android Cell Phone Review

Sprint HTC Evo 4g Android Cell Phone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before addressing the hardware and functionality of this phone, let's address quickly the five-part equation that makes up your overall smart phone user experience:
(1) the hardware...the phone itself
(2) operating system software
(3) installed applications
(4) the network (overall, and where you happen to be using the phone at a particular time)
(5) the service provider
In some cases, there are serial dependencies on the factors above, as many phones are tied to specific operating systems or service providers. Or perhaps you spend a lot of time in an area without 4G service. Just remember that even if you make a great phone choice, deficiencies in the other areas can diminish your overall user experience.
Don't move to a smart phone without some research into these choices. Which provider? Which mobile operating system? Who can offer me the best service, or the best combination of value and service? The rest of this review assumes you've already figured out why a phone with the Android operating system might be a better choice for you than an iPhone, a Blackberry or a Windows-based smart phone solution...
Bottom line for the HTC EVO 4G: feature loaded, user-friendly and a hard choice to go wrong with in a crowded smart phone market.
The phone ships with an impressive array of capability and apps, and finding and installing new ones from the Android marketplace is easy even for non-techies.
Two very strong performers in the pre-installed applications are Google-powered Voice Search and Navigate: both are eerily good at delivering search results and driving/walking directions. This phone's voice-to-text interface is also very good, and can be used for both composing text messages and delivering search results without typing. Surprisingly, a voice-based dialing app that is part of the operating system's collection of widgets seldom gets one right. The Evo's on-screen keyboard is adaptive to your compositions over time, and will suggest auto-completes for words you frequently type.
The phone includes two cameras: an outward facing high resolution (8 megapixel) still/video camera, and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video applications. It ships with an 8 GB microSD card. One surprising oversight of this phone is the placement of the microSD card inside the battery compartment. Although you can move files to an from it via the USB port, this phone would be improved if the card were accessible without removing the back cover.
In addition to the USB port, the phone has a 3.5mm aux audio jack and an HDMI port.
The rear of the phone includes a "kickstand", allowing you to stand the phone on a horizontal surface when viewing the display in landscape mode (great for using the speakerphone or watching videos).
Customization of the scrolling display screens is intuitive. In our house, even less technically savvy users were re-arranging icons and applications in no time.
Each of phone, video and still image quality are satisfactory.
The overall finish of this phone is --literally-- quite slick. It can go sliding easily on leather car seat, and both the screen and frame will attract and display fingerprints. Whether or not you opted in to the damage/loss insurance that most providers offer, I'd strongly recommend both a screen protector and some case or holster to offer a modicum of protection to the phone.
Mnay options exist for protection, but for our multiple Evo phones we've found the following to provide a good mix of protection and price:
--"Fishbone" protective case (red linked here; other colors are available)
--SGP STEINHEIL Anti FingerprintSprint Screen Protector (Anti Fingerprint)
Let these protective devices soak up the wear and tear instead of your phone and display.
Other reviews have discussed battery life, and it's worth addressing. This phone has five separate radio transmit/receive devices:
-the standard cellular (3G/CDMA) transceiver
-the 4G transceiver
-Bluetooth (for short-range use of hands-free devices and data exchange)
-GPS receiver
-Wifi transceiver
Each of these devices will exert its own demand on the battery. Selectively turning them off when not needed, along with setting a shorter time to turn off the display (2 minutes or 1 minute) will go a long way to mitigate the battery issue. Additionally, there are extended life aftermarket batteries (usually with an accompanying modified case cover to accommodate their their additional bulk) that will easily get you through your work day away from external power.
A note about apps:
Android is a Google operating system, and access to the Android marketplace for additional apps requires entry through a Google/Gmail account (either existing or one you create when setting up the phone). In return for the apps, be aware that you surrender significant personal information on your phone, your location (at minumum the nearest cell tower, and in some cases your GPS-derived location) and details of how you used the phone and applications. Providing this information is the cost of admission for functionality of the apps. I'm not offering a value judgement on this...just pointing it out for your information.
Finally, a note about pricing:
Comparison shop and pay attention when you're ready to make the move to a smart phone. For the hardware purchase, you can expect to find considerable differences in the prices (even when upgrade discount and rebates are included) from different vendors. Be sure to check out each each of your provider's "store" (brick and mortar, by phone and online), big box stores and even Amazon's new wireless store. It's worth investing a couple minutes in this research to save a considerable amount on the purchase price.
Becoming a smart phone user begins with shopping smartly! )

It's not smart phone, but awsome phone to carry around without worrying about the battery life or freeze up. The phone is light and very good looking. The battery lasts about a week on standby, and the call quality is very good. I live around "dead zone", and only verizon works where I live, but this phone has good reception. Highly recommended.

Casio C711 G'zOne Boulder Cell Phone Review

Casio C711 G'zOne Boulder Cell Phone
Average Reviews:

Phone looked great, charged fine, powered on fine. Took it to Verizon to activate it and they worked on it 2 hours, finally determining that it was unuseable, saying that someone had wiped out the whole memory and it was not ever going to be a usable phone. Was supposed to be a refurbished phone, unlocked, ready to activate. Sending it back. Also could not find ANYWHERE a phone number to the OEM Shop to ask questions. Amazon was wonderful, of course, as they fulfilled the order thru this 3rd party OEM shop. Thank goodness I went thru Amazon and not directly through OEM, so Amazon even pays return shipping.

EVERYTHING WORKS JUST FINE. ONE FUNNY THING: WHEN I ACTIVATED THE PHONE WITH VERIZON, ON THEIR WEBSITE IT STATED "NON CAMERA" BUT IN FACT IT DOES AND DOWNLOADS JUST WENT OK TO THE VZW ONLINE ALBUM. I BOUGHT IT FOR 10 YEAR OLD GRANDSON SINCE HE WANTED ONE LIKE MINE. FUMBLE-FINGERED ANNE, WHO DROPS CELLS, ABSCONDED GRANDSON'S. NOW I HAVE ANOTHER USED ONE ON ORDER-ORANGE-TO CELEBRATE THE TN VOLS. SINCE OLDER PHONES HAVE LIMITATIONS W/ TEXTING, I PERSONALLY USE THE ONLINE SERVICE.
MIGHT ADD THAT A PERSON IS WISE TO STICK W/ AMAZON. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM W/ THEM BUT TWO ISSUES IN THE PAST W/ EBAY!-JOHNNY

MW09 Watch Cell Phone ~ unlocked~ Quad-band Review

MW09 Watch Cell Phone ~ unlocked~ Quad-band
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought and returned this item. Since I didn't find my detailed reviews, I would like to share my opinion about this watch:
It looks bulky, and cheap (it is cheap), I thought I can use it to replace my phone when I want to go for a short walk (or if I don't to put something in my pocket). The voice of the phone speakers is not that loud, but it's ok. I was planning to use the Bluetooth headset. However, the one that came with it didn't work.. and when I used the one I had (Plantronics, which works great) the sound quality was bad and the voice kept breaking. It was also hard to keep it paired to the phone the whole time.
The UI of the watch is a bit strange, the icons they chose where difficult to understand.. but that might be something you can get used to. Didn't keep it long to test the battery life, and didn't plug it into the computer.. two problems that I heard about. I only tested it for an hour, and it didn't do what I needed it to.
The concept is good, but not the design or the implementation. I believe LG would be a better (more expensive) choice. Don't hate, I just wanted to share my actual experience.

BlackBerry 8830 CDMA Verizon Black Unlocked Cell Phone Review

BlackBerry 8830 CDMA Verizon Black Unlocked Cell Phone
Average Reviews:

The item i recieved came here only 8 days after i purchased it. It came in the condition described. The problem is, it isn't exactly what I ordered. It is a Blackberry, but it isn't the 8830 like I paid for. Instead, I got a Curve 8330 which works with VZW. I am overseas in Kuwait and I ordered the 8830 because it had a slot for a sim card. The Curve 8130 VZW phone does not. VZW does not use sim cards. I am very unhappy about this.

I bought this Blackberry 7250 from always on sale. Its features are easy to understand. Setting up was easy but I have no bluetooth. It is locked. I have tried everything but the setting wont let me do anything. But still and all its a great phone and I love the security feature if you touch it it vibrates to let you know it being toughed. It also locks to keep someone from getting into your phone and that is if your set it up like that. If anyone knows how to get the bluetooth working please post it.

THis is a good and great phone. It does everything I want plus more!! I use it as a PDA and it GREAT!!, I have appts, tasks, reminders, etc... and it alarms to all of them, as well as carry over all the important documetation for each task or appt or reminder i set up. I really like it the reception is the best, and this phone syncs with everything, i.e. wireless headphones etc.. I would recommend this phone as great. Also, if you chose, as I have, buy some apps to go with it and it can be a PDA with all docs and tasks, ... synced. This is a refurbished phone, Verizon said they could not get it to work, it powered up, and supposedly the program loaded, but when I dialed a number, it would power off. I went on-line, and set it up myself, no issues, it worked perfectly.
This is not a feature rich phone, it's a work horse. It's made to take a beating and keep on ticking. If that is what you are looking for, this is the phone for you.

Casio C711 G'zOne Boulder Cell Phone Orange Review

Casio C711 G'zOne Boulder Cell Phone Orange
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am really hard on my phones and I live in a place where getting reception isn't the best. This phone is perfect for someone who wants to take their phone with them EVERYWHERE, literally. I have had Verizon phones that I thought I had purchased extended type warranties for BUT NO. Water damage (MORE LIKELY HUMIDITY DAMAGE) IS NOT COVERED. Finally after I had had enough cheap phones (not so cheap when I had to replace them) I bought the more expensive phone because it was shock proof and water resistant. I have dropped this thing and kicked it along the street and it never missed a beat. Doing that to other phones I had, destroyed the display, caused the keypads to not function or get stuck and to just not work. The Boulder is as advertised. Its a tank.
I also love that I will be in my kitchen and receive text messages and phone calls and my wife won't even have service on her Verizon phone. The built in antenna is superb.
I love that it came with 2 batteries, one an extended life battery. I can practically go a whole week on a single charge with the extended life battery. That's pretty good especially if you are in the outdoors frequently like me. I wanted a phone that I could rely on. I wanted a phone that would outlast the two year contract period. Finally. They made a phone that will do that. I have had my Boulder for two years now. And it LOOKS AND WORKS just like I just took it home and out of the box yesterday.
The only down side to this phone are the limited ring tones that come standard. You can't have everything. My other phones (LG 8300 and 8350) had better ring tones, but you'd better not get close to a bathroom, or an open refrigerator, or a body of water; or even think of water. I take my Boulder Kayaking and have for two years. I put it in my life vest, with no special bags covering it; just as it is. It has not failed me yet. When the time comes that I need to replace this phone, they probably won't be making the Boulder anymore.
