My Nokia died and I'm leaving AT&T when my subscription expires ... so wanted something cheap that will last a few months and thought I'd give this a try. Phone is cute, very nice size, feels solid & sturdy and has a responsive touch screen. I get good reception. Has lots of fun features ... but they are almost impossible to use because the menus are unnecessarily complicated and many are non-functional. For example, to reply to a missed phone call requires fumbling through several menus just to find an option to call them back. No shortcuts either. There is a shortcut icon and you can modify the shortcuts -- but they are non functional??! So there are "shortcuts" ... they just don't work. I don't know about the online stuff - not of interest at this time so I have not used them. The camera seems to take ok pictures. But you can't USE them on the phone because the size limit on contact and wallpaper photos is 20bytes. So even though it says you can assign a photo to a person in your contact list, it doesn't display it. The screen is nice and big but the photo display is so small - why bother? It also doesn't recognize your contacts when they call. Doesn't display either the name or the photo even though the contact has a designated photo, ring tone and name ... all you get when they call is their phone number. Caller ID? What's that? Also menu font is so tiny, unless you have very good close up vision, you will need glasses to read it.
OK sound from FM radio and MP3. Bluetooth connected no problem. It has the option to use two SIM cards - which I don't need and which contribute to the already cumbersome menus. There is more bad than good to this phone. I wish I had been able to find some reviews before I bought it. I doubt there are any good ones.
KA08 had the potential to be a HOT phone. But because of the horrible (and I mean HORRIBLE) menus and numerous non-functioning or almost useless features, I would urge you to NOT buy this phone. You will be disappointed.

3G STYLE DUAL SIM QUADBAND UNLOCKED GSM CELL PHONE Review

3G STYLE DUAL SIM QUADBAND UNLOCKED GSM CELL PHONE
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I started writing a review with pros, cons, and other details. But it boiled down to the following; if all you need is a dual sim, quad band phone, for making voice phone calls, the CECT i9 3g may work for you. I have owned one for about four months and it has been wonderful tool. I now carry only one phone and can keep my personal and work lines separate. Exactly what I needed.
If you need anything more than that, this phone will probably enrage you. The interface is clunky and not intuitive. Most of the touchscreen buttons are too small for normal hands and require a stylus - but there is no place on the phone to store it. Text messaging is neither easy nor quick, and will build your character. The manual is mostly useless but there is good help at the on-line community. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point.
The music player, e-reader, and camera are easy to use. There are lots of games, but you must be able to read another language (Mandarin?) to to play them. However, all these features are irrelevant to me - they are not why I carry a phone.
So, why did I give it four stars? Because, it works well as a dual sim, quad band phone. I get good reception and battery life. And did I mention that both sim cards are active? If that is all you need, you will probably like it.

CECT P168C UNLOCKED GSM QUADBAND Review

CECT P168C UNLOCKED GSM QUADBAND
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just bought this phone and it's pretty cool. It wasn't exactly as great as I thought it would be, mostly because I was directly comparing it to the Apple iPhone. The P168's new "slide-to-unlock" function is just like the iPhone, but it isn't exactly smooth... and doesn't unlock unless you press the button in the perfect spot. The stylus that comes with the phone is extremely useful and makes the phone much easier to operate.
Putting the battery and sim card in was very stressful. The back of the phone is extremely difficult to remove and it seems like you might break the phone just trying to get it off. Also, the stylus is pretty difficult to get out.
The overall feel of the phone is decent... definitely not as nice as the iPhone, but the price reflects that.
For under $200, I'd say it's worth it, because if it's not all that you wanted, it isn't much of a hit in your bank account.
4 out of 5

Unlocked Touch Screen Phone PAE3 Trackball GSM Quad Band WIFI Facebook email - No Contract AT&T T-Mobile Review

Not one of the better phones. The keys are entirely too small. The keys are great when dialing a ohone number; however, if you ever plan to text, forget about it. I bought the phone for the sole purpose of texting... so this review is very biased.
Other features that I did not like is that the threading in the inbox is weird. And getting onto Wifi is difficult. The battery does die fairly quickly but i guess thats why they send two. battery charger is neat and the phone is an iphone wanna be. (o yea sound quality isnt great). Overall not pleased with the phone
does have radio and tv

cect A988 QUAD-BAND Review

cect A988 QUAD-BAND
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Let me preface this by saying I'm not a cell phone fanatic, I was just looking for an update with some cool features. I did some homework & thought I was getting the best deal for under $150.
I just bought the A988+ for $148 (free 1Gb micro SD & shipping) on -bay & would probably return it if I could.
Problems:
1) It is not an iphone, check out the p168+ if you are looking for something closer, but from the sound of it, if you really want an iphone, you will only be happy with the real thing.
2) There is very little info out there about this phone, when compared to the 168 (check out youtube). I hope this will change soon.
3) It is really loud, even on the lowest setting. When talking, I can't hold it to my ear 1/2 the time.
It has 3-D sound (5 speakers) so if you want to listen to your music from across the room you can, but overkill for me.
4) Probably due to amplification, I hear some hissing from the other person when talking.
5) I have not been able to read or send text messages yet (currently scouring the internet).
6) It comes with no software for converting videos & you cannot simply drag mp4's to the memory card & expect it to play. I know you can convert them with free programs, I just have to figure out how to.
7) When typing you have to use the stylus because the keyboard only gets to about 1/5 the screen size.
You have to switch to the "symbols" menu to add a space.
The "backspace" button is too close to everything else, so you have to be extra careful.
8) You can only schedule 1 alarm at a time (I like to set 2 to make sure I get up in the morning). To set another one you have to go through the calendar.
9) The date is in the YY/MM/DD format.
10) You can't set ring tones for individual people.
11) It does have a drawing feature, but it's almost pointless. Try making a straight line & it looks like an EKG machine is going crazy.
12) So far I've only seen manuals in english for sale on -bay for $4.
Good Things:
1) Background pics are easy to set. Just image search iphone backgrounds.
2) mp3's play easily, just put them on the memory card.
3) I like the camera; it takes pretty decent pictures for a phone.
4) Battery life has been good, but I'm also not on it 24/7 & I charge it whenever I'm near a computer. You can charge it through the USB cable they give you & the external battery charger w/ a 2nd battery. I don't plan on using it unless I'm away from a computer for a couple of days.
5) When dialing a # the buttons are large enough to use a careful finger.
6) It is Quad-band
7) Took my Cingular SIM card no problem
* I have not tried the TV-out function because I have not figured out how to put a video that will play on it yet.
Bottom Line:
It looks pretty cool but is more of a pain in the butt than it is worth.
I hope this helps a few of you out there looking for an awesome phone because you should probably avoid this one.

CECT 8GB M88 M89 3G STYLE QUADBAND UNLOCKED WIFI CELL PHONE POCKET PC PDA WITH WINDOWS MOBILE 6.0 Review

I own one of these phones for 1/2 yr. already. There is something that needs to be clarified. This is NOT an iPhone. If you're looking for that go to the Apple store and get one for 500$.
This is a PPC (pocket PC) meaning it has WiFi, Windows Mobile 6.1 (latest), the entire Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT) and plenty of other applications are available online. And yeah, it almost look like an iPhone; this is the reason is called a clone of it.
Overall this phone beats the iPhone big time. It might not have the shake control, but who needs it? I need to be able to sit in the airport and work on my files, or read stuff online (for free)-try that on the iPhone.
The price is very low for what it gives. I had no problems with it so far. I'm a person that looks more at the functionality part than at the "let's show off part".
Great phone !
