(More customer reviews)I started writing a review with pros, cons, and other details. But it boiled down to the following; if all you need is a dual sim, quad band phone, for making voice phone calls, the CECT i9 3g may work for you. I have owned one for about four months and it has been wonderful tool. I now carry only one phone and can keep my personal and work lines separate. Exactly what I needed.
If you need anything more than that, this phone will probably enrage you. The interface is clunky and not intuitive. Most of the touchscreen buttons are too small for normal hands and require a stylus - but there is no place on the phone to store it. Text messaging is neither easy nor quick, and will build your character. The manual is mostly useless but there is good help at the on-line community. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point.
The music player, e-reader, and camera are easy to use. There are lots of games, but you must be able to read another language (Mandarin?) to to play them. However, all these features are irrelevant to me - they are not why I carry a phone.
So, why did I give it four stars? Because, it works well as a dual sim, quad band phone. I get good reception and battery life. And did I mention that both sim cards are active? If that is all you need, you will probably like it.
