(More customer reviews)I received mine in the end of December. A month is probably not enough to discover all bugs but so far I'm happy with the phone.
First of all, it is really fast. The 1GHz processor does it's job.
The screen resolution is high and the screen size is big enough to surf the web with comfort.
HTC shell is something new to me (I used to have E-ten with Spb Mobile shell) but getting used to it.
Cannot say that I'm impressed with the still picture quality (SE phones have better pictures with less Mpx) but video recording is relatively good. There is no button for shutter so you always have to click on the screen to take picture - not convenient.
I need to charge my phone every second day - that definitely exceeded my expectations, taking into consideration fast processor and big hi-res screen.
The screen uses almost full width of the body, which sometimes causes unexpected clicks when I grab the phone (slowly getting used to it). When browsing e-mails the shell has button "reply to all" on the left side and when you click it, it changes to "send". One time I grabbed the phone and it replied to all and sent an empty message to a huge distribution list. So keep it in mind and be careful ;) I hope there will be a way to protect it somehow.
The phone is bigger than I expected - it's exactly the size of 12oz beer can (you can hide one behind the phone).
The sound level and quality in conversations is excellent. Also, my Highlander hands-free connects very quickly with good sound level.
So far I did not have chance to use built-in GPS. I don't expect anything special comparing to other similar phones.
It does not have a stylus. If you turn the phone, full size keyboard is big enough but.. I think I will get a stylus. At least you need one, when you surf Internet.
Overall - some little flaws, which I found so far, will not be enough to downgrade my 5 star rating. I really enjoy the phone and recommend it to others who is ready to spend [...] bucks on a gadget.

(More customer reviews)I really wasn't impressed with the windows7 phone so I looked around for something with 6.5. come to find out... both hd2 and w7 have the same hardware specs except for w7 has a physical camera button. Even though the hd2 is widely known as one of the best and most customizable windows phones... it doesn't come without a few problems. First of all, you have to make sure your ROM is up to date (which t-mobile has on their site). When it first came out in the U.S. it was buggy. Even after having an updated ROM... I had to download 3rd party software to fix the call quality, the 3g came on all by itself after switching it off so I had to find software to stop that, I downloaded a more accurate battery life indicator, and I also found software to switch the on screen unlock slider to the bottom of the screen instead of the top. I didn't know it had all these little annoyances until after I bought it. But like I said... it's a highly customizable phone. All the software fixes from the net were free too. So, even though it was a pain at first...with a few little tweaks, it's actually a great phone. I did have to buy an HTC HD2 brand extended battery from ebay (with the metal kick stand in the back) because the original battery didn't last long (maybe 2 days with moderate use). I am not a really heavy user on my phone so I can get about 4 or 5 days on one charge with moderate to mid range use on the extended battery. Do not get a cheap no name extended battery, they do not tell you the accurate battery life. At some point, you have to take it out and put it back in to reboot your phone so you can get the other 50% battery life to work. The 3g is shut off unless I need to use it, and I make sure the task manager is clear of all programs running in the back ground. After all that, was it worth my time and money? Yes. I do really like this phone. One of the best I've owned. It was actually fun customizing it since I'm such a tech geek. I would say that if you don't mind having to customize it, it'll be a great phone for you too.

(More customer reviews)I just bought this phone (in Germany) a few days ago and would have paid less for it on Amazon. It has a gorgeous, very bright and high resolution display - so bright that I have kept it set at minimum brightness. I tested it outside today, under a partially cloudy sky - and I could clearly read the display when it was set to maximum brightness!! LG has done a surprisingly good job of customizing Android (2.2.2 for now) on it. Info on the internet indicates that LG will release Gingerbread for it in SEP 11 for those concerned about 2.3 and higher. It has lots of extra widgets and apps - like battery and cellular data usage - that you would normally have to get from the market. Excellent battery life despite the bright display - it's kinda early to tell but I've gotten two full days with normal usage. Cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity are also great - and no sound problems or dropped calls. I have two concerns with it though. First, the main part of the phone is very well built but the battery cover is too thin in my opinion - the phone itself doesn't creak or bend but it sure seems as if the back/battery cover won't take much abuse. That being said, the phone does feel solid with the battery cover locked in place. And, related to this, the battery cover is also tricky to remove so this isn't a phone that you would want to frequently swap the chips in. Last but not least, the included Euro charger is huge and it looks pure Stone Age - shame on you LG!! ***** Edited to add a couple more points: This is a small thing but a big plus in my opinion: LG modified Android to allow screen captures on the P970! All you have to do - kind of like on the iPhone - is press home and power at the same time and the screen is captured. Also - after two full days of moderate usage (easy to track battery usage in Android) it was at 42% battery remaining.
