(More customer reviews)I lost my phone (Verizon) a was in need of a replacement. My old phone was one of those with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and I got spoiled texting, so I was determined to get another phone with a full keyboard. I called Verizon ahead of time to make sure that it does not require a data plan to activate.
HOWEVER, you will not be able to activate this phone without a data plan ONLINE. I had to call customer service, the guy originally said that the phone requires a data plan, I told him that I called a couple days ago and the lady said no, he looked up something (i assume) and then said that we have to activate with a data plan and then he'll manually remove it. *whew* the whole point to get this phone was for me not to be stuck with a data plan.
I was pleased with the price with this purchase, and the keyboard is okay. The phone arrived looking brand new, although battery life was a little iffy in the beginning, after a few charges it's okay now.
Like others have said, this phone operates on Windows Mobile OS, so it is kinda slow, and not as intuitive as Android, but you get used to it. In that sense, it's a little too "smart" because it took me a while to find the alarm, but why doesn't the alarm have snooze option? You definitely have to play around with the menus to know where to find things.
The camera is okay, the colors are a bit weird (red is too red, other colors seem muted), and the flash is kinda cool(drains battery though).
