(More customer reviews)Take this review with a grain of salt because this was my first phone.
I liked the construction and feel; the weight and size were fine for me, quite small but a little heavier than you might expect.
As strictly a phone this unit works great but is overkill. It has a lot of extras, all of which eat battery life very quickly.
The camera and videocapture are decent enough quality, the voice recorder works fine, bluetooth works, the radio feature works ok (though I could never get consistently good reception), the mp3 player works, you can even jimmy 2GB of storage into this thing although the Nokia manual says the limit is 256MB.
The reason I ended up returning this phone is because all of the features it has only seem to draw attention to some very obvious features that the phone is missing---such as per-caller ringtones, and a phone book that lets you enter first and last name separately (so you can sort by either) rather than just one long name containing both. Having multiple regions to save preset radio stations on would be nice for those who travel. The fact of the 6230's huge memory (not to mention hugely expandable memory) only makes the lack of these features an even sorer spot.
Summary: great hardware, great phone function, software is not rich enough for me to warrant spending $200+ on it. I feel like I should be getting PDA-level functionality for that price.
