Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)Well, I am VERY glad I bought this phone. I had been looking over phones for about a week and decided on this one because I do not "run a business" through my phone, but I do like the latest technologies.
For people that practically run their computer on their phone, I would probably suggest just getting the iPhone or Blackberry Storm for the higher price, since their displays are so much larger and they are 3G. But for people like myself that simply call, text, listen to MP3's & the FM radio, and occasionally uses internet this is PERFECT!
PROS:
-Great look and feel, very sleek and small, an eye catcher
-Slider can be set to answer/end a call (my personal phone preference)
-Touch screen interface gives "latest technology" feeling
-SUPER speaker, best of any phone I've had
-Graphics are superb, did I say WOW?
-Price (if you are buying without contract), but I got mine on Amazon for $167
-VIBRATES & BEEPS with each touch screen button (iPhone does not!)
-I use T-Mobile, and it connects to their network with stellar reception (Tampa, FL)
-Ringtones are clear & crisp studio quality, again AMAZING speaker
-Has turn-by-turn GPS if your carrier provides service
CONS:
-Cannot change the touch screen shortcut keys (only a minor annoyance)
-No 3G connectivity (i don't need it personally)
-Smaller display than other touch screens
-AT&T customers beware of your area, may not work in 850Ghz zones
-VERY fingerprint prone, but hey it's a touch screen!
For those basic phone users who want the WOW factor without the WOW price, this one is the best. I even bought my wife the pink version the day mine arrived!
(P.S. The LG Venus is this phone's American predecessor, but that model has no touch screen vibration, no FM radio, and a few other minor flaws. This is the improved European version but works GREAT in the US also!)

The innovative LG KF600 introduces the new InteractPad, which replaces physical navigation keys with context-specific virtual keys that change to fit the task at hand. Depending on what function you're using--the 3-megapixel camera, the digital audio player, or writing text messages--the bottom screen of the dual LCDs changes to show just the controls you need. It also offers a slick slider design that hides its physical numeric keypad until the time you need it. The KF600 also features Bluetooth stereo music streaming, a multi-format digital audio player, FM radio, MicroSD memory expansion, and up to 4 hours of talk time.
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides tri-band connectivity (900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.
Phone Features The KF600's InteractPad and its virtual menu keys show the exact keys you need to complete the task at hand. This is far more flexible than standard hardware keys and eliminates the need to memorize exactly which key performs what function. These virtual keys are also larger and better spaced than physical keys, improving accuracy. To make it easier to use, the InteractPad is equipped with multi-sensorial feedback that provides users with audio, visual and tactile cues. When a virtual button is pressed it becomes larger and the phone vibrates just slightly and makes a clicking sound. This feedback is not only designed to make these virtual buttons seem more like real ones, it also makes the phone more comfortable to use and improves accuracy.
The LG KF600 includes eight dynamic graphic interface themes that are stylish and fun. Each gives the phone a different character that can act as an extension of its owner's personality. These themes, many of which were inspired by the work of famed artist Keith Haring, affect all aspects of the LG KF600's interface including the InteractPad. When you choose a theme, all the layouts of each application will be reflected in menu, icons as well as wallpaper under the integrated theme.
The top 2-inch LCD screen provides 256K colors and has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution, while the lower touch-sensitive display measures 1.5 inches and has a resolution of 176 x 240 pixels and support for 256K colors. It has a 25 MB internal memory that can store up to 1000 contact entries, and you can also view the 50 most recent dialed/received/missed calls. You can expand the phone's memory using optional MicroSD memory cards (up to 2 GB).
The 3-megapixel camera can also capture videos in MPEG4/H.263 format up to QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels) at 15 frames per second (fps). The KF600 has a digital audio player that's compatible with MP3, AAC, and WMA music files, and you can listen to your favorite radio programming on the go via the built-in FM radio. The integrated Bluetooth technology (version 2.0) allows handsfree communication with a compatible headset as well as the ability to exchange files with another Bluetooth compatible device. And, with the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones.
Connect the KF600 to a PC using an optional USB cable and it will become a mass storage device. Drag and drop files such as music, photos, videos and more straight to the phone and you can carry them with you wherever you go. No software is required for the PC--simply plug and play. Other features include:
It includes standard messaging services (SMS, MMS, EMS), and the phone comes with built-in T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets. When you need to browse the Web for the nearest movie theatre and showtimes, use the phone's advanced WAP 2.0 browser. Find what you need fast over the supported EDGE transfer protocol. And with the phone's built-in document viewer you can view and transport .ppt, .doc, .pdf, .xls, and .txt files.
Other features include:
Digital audio format compatibility: MP3.AAC/AAC+/WMA/RA/AMR
Scheduler and alarm functions
64-chord polyphonic ringtones
