Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)let me start this review saying that this phone is PERFECT as a running companion! It fits perfectly in the 1g ipod shuffle arm band and weighs just about the same as any other small MP3 player (nothing!). I am prone to asthma attacks and have run for years without a phone because they are too bulky to carry around. Not any more. This is my best running companion.
Now to the little details (this list is not complete)
- The phone has no loudspeaker (for hands free)
- The reception is TERRIBLE! the internal antenna is very sensitive so if you put it close to your head it looses reception... Actually with headsets the reception and sound is quite good, but who carries around the headsets?
- It chooses the ringtone that it feels like putting on. I have tried 20 times to change the ringtone and it only work once in a while...
- Everytime you start the mp3 player is starts again with the first song. It has no memory of where you left off. I just put it on random.
- You can barely see the screen in daylight
- the bluetooth is a bit unstable. Sound gets distorted. Some good items are:
- The MP3 sound is quite decent (although volume is a bit low). You will need to buy a better set of headphones. the 3.5mm plug is perfect.
- when you have standard headphones plugged in you can still use the phone's microhone to talk (normally when headphones are plugged in the microphone and speakerphone are automatically canceled)
- I bought the shuffle arm band and put some glue drops over the pause and FFWD buttons. Now I can control the mp3 player with gloves on! better that any ipod I have ever run with.
- The miniUSB connector is perfect for charging or using the phone as a USB memory stick. For playing music just drag and drop mp3 files.
Conclusion:
- DO NOT buy this phone as your primary phone. the sound quality and reception are below par
But if you are a runner like me this is a MUST buy for your run long runs.
