(More customer reviews)1st full day of use. I purchased this phone for my wife to replace her Blackberry Pearl. This is the first phone I have purchased by first shopping for an ultra low radiation phone based on SAR ratings. I am beginning to fear long term exposure to high cell phone microwave radiation and this phone is the lowest out there. Plus my wife loves recycling and Earth-friendly initiatives. The solar panel is a nice plus but does require some pretty intense light to charge. Normal ambient room light is not really enough. You'll know it is charging using the panel by a small blue dot that illuminates on the panel side or a solar charge icon on the main screen.
The screen is large enough despite a couple complaints I've read online. Not having a Qwerty-keypad is not really a problem for her so this doesn't detract. What is a little annoying (and drops 1 star) though is the software. It's not the fastest to respond to touches and often recognizes unintended touches when it should be seeing a swipe. My Ipod and Iphones that I have used are way better in this regard. Also the Widget bar is VERY annoying and I cannot see nor find a way to close it altogether.
Signal strength is solid and call quality is awesome. I have placed and received calls on it from my wife. The recycled packaging and Energy Star-rated charger are a big plus. The packaging can be made into a funky picture frame! Overall day one has been very good and no plans on a return at this time.
So far really like this little "green" blue phone.
