(More customer reviews)I bought this unlocked phone to use when I travel overseas. I buy a local SIM and use the phone for voice and even more for text. After losing two very expensive international phones while traveling overseas I was looking for something rugged and inexpensive. I have now tested it in the US with a T-Mobile SIM. This phone is perfect. It has good voice quality, it is easy to text with the keyboard, it fits easily in my pocket, it's sturdy and it holds its charge well. A Blackberry can do much more than voice and SMS, of course, but the Blackberry data plan from T-Mobile is $50/month, so I haven't tried the email and internet functions. The phone was introduced in 2005, and is now discontinued, but it suits my needs perfectly.
